When I get down to the river I shift into my human form and clean up my wounds with water from the river. The water felt cool on the gashes on my neck. The water turned a slight crimson color as the blood washes away. I feel the back of my neck once more and smile as the gashes disappear not even leaving a scar. I walk down the river with my hands in my pockets just taking in the triuphant feeling of my victory against Carson. "Hey! Marcy!" I hear an all to familiar voice call after me. I roll my eyes and keep walking. Carson runs to catch up to me and puts his hands in his pockets as well as he slows down to my pace. It seemed as if his wounds had healed as well. "Listen, Mar I know you're the best fighter out of all the girls and almost the guys-" "Almost?" I say inturrupting him. "Yes almost, anyways, I know you're the best of the best but couldn't you have taken it a bit easier?" He asks and I smirk looking at him as we continue walking down the river. "Now why on earth would I do that?" I say smugly and he smirks. "To save my precious ego the pain," he says putting a hand to his chest with a fake hurt expression on his face. I roll my eyes, "Pathetic." I say and quicken my pace. Carson catches up to me with ease and frowns slightly at my comment. "Pathetic? What do you- never mind.... Anyways, Mar, I was wondering-" I cut him off again. "If this is another attempt to ask me out I'll save your breath and come out and say it, NO." I say the last part with complete disgust and shift into wolf form dashing away. Anywhere but wherever that leech was. God I can't stand him! I growl to myself. You sure about that Mar-mar? I stop abruptly looking all around. Show yourself! I bark keeping alert. Calm down Mar-mar it's me. A silver wolf emerges and I relax. Sorry Lou, I didn't know it was you. I say sitting down. It's okay Mar-mar. She says walking closer to me. We both shift back to human form and sit on the ground across from each other. "What are you doing out here?" I asked leaning back on my elbows. "Simple, following you." She said breathlessly as if it were that simple. I furrowed my brow, "Why are you following me Lou?" She rolled her eyes as if the answer were right in front of me and I was too blind to see it. "To keep you out of trouble," she said jumping up to grab a branch hanging from it. "And because it seems we need to have a little girl talk." She says swinging up to sit on the branch. I cock my head to one side with a look of slight disgust on my face. "Girl talk?" I say completely disgusted. She nods, "Mmhmmm," she says now hanging by her legs. "What's the deal with you and lover boy?" She asks with an upside down smile. "Lover boy? Oh you mean the leech. Nothing. Absolutely nothing." I say laying on my back. "You sure about that Mar-mar?" She giggled, "Lover boy doesn't seem to think so. I see the way he looks at you. His longing for you. He can't seem to fight the pull, how much longer do you think you can?" I roll my eyes standing up and start to walk back. I hear Lou jump down from the tree. Her biker boots hitting the ground almost soundlessly. "He's your mate Mar, you can't just-" I whiped around to face her. Glaring with eyes of fire I growled at her. "He will never be my mate!" I shift and take off in anger back to the river and glare at the water. Lou's words and mine still ringing in my ears. I see the way he looks at you.... He can't seem to fight the pull, how much longer do you think you can....? He will never be my mate.....
