The sun was shining brightly on the grassy field as the group of friends gathered in their usual spot for another YouTube video. It had become a bit of a tradition now, filming for Chris's channel every few weeks. Today's challenge was a fun one: "Scoring Goals With Every Body Part." The rules were simple — each person had to score a goal using a different body part: feet, knees, chest, head, and even shoulders, elbows, and, for the really daring ones, the back of the neck.
Chris, ever the professional host, stood in front of the camera, his trademark grin plastered across his face as he clapped his hands together. "Alright, lads and ladies," he started, turning toward the camera. "Welcome back to the channel! Today we're doing something a little different. We're scoring goals with every body part. You know the drill. Let's get into it!"
Behind the camera, Stephen Tries, the resident comedian of the group, gave a loud, exaggerated sigh. "Honestly, Chris, I don't know how you do it. You act like this is a real football challenge, but we all know it's just a way for you to show off your mad skills and make us all look bad."
The rest of the group burst into laughter, including Chris himself, who shrugged theatrically. "Hey, someone's got to set the bar."
Stephen shook his head, smirking. "Yeah, and clearly, it's not going to be you."
As usual, Stephen was the first to crack a joke, his comedic timing making it impossible not to laugh. His teasing banter was a staple in their videos, and everyone loved the way he could lighten the mood — especially with Chris, who took it all in stride.
Taya, standing next to George, rolled her eyes playfully. "Okay, okay, let's get on with it. We've got goals to score."
George, standing just behind her, grinned, his eyes softening when they met hers. The two of them had grown closer in the past few weeks, ever since their heart-to-heart conversation about what was happening between them. They had spent more time together, and it was clear to everyone that there was something deeper between them now. They weren't officially anything yet, but it was undeniable — they were in love.
"Alright, Taya, you're up first," Chris called, gesturing to her. "Let's see if you can score with your feet."
Taya, who wasn't exactly the most skilled football player of the group, nodded. "Alright, I can do this," she said, her tone confident, though her eyes betrayed a hint of nerves. She had always been the one to laugh it off when the boys made fun of her football skills, but she couldn't deny she felt a little competitive now — especially with George watching.
She lined up in front of the ball, took a breath, and gave it a solid kick... but the ball veered wildly to the left and rolled out of bounds.
There was a collective groan from the boys.
"Not gonna lie, Taya, that was... something," Stephen said, his voice dripping with sarcasm.
"I was striker in my team in secondary school, don't know what's happened to me" Taya expressed with a sad face.
George, ever the supportive "boyfriend", chuckled. "Maybe next time, use your feet. Just a suggestion."
Taya shot him a mock glare, sticking her tongue out playfully. "Shut up, you're next."
The boys were relentless, but Taya could handle it. It was all in good fun. Still, she couldn't help but feel a little embarrassed as the group continued to tease her. She was good when she was younger, and was surprisingly good in Chris's last video. Unfortunately, today wasn't her day.
"Alright, alright," Chris said, gesturing for George to take his turn. "Time for the real pro to show us how it's done."
George gave Taya a quick smile before stepping up. The two exchanged a glance — a soft, almost private moment amid the chaos. He was getting better at sensing when she needed a little encouragement, and right now, he could tell she was feeling a bit down about her failed shot.
