Crowchild.

He was born only to kill his mother, though she would have died giving birth to him, Crowchilds father sold the boys soul to the devil to save his wife. He now hears the voice of his possessor, telling him to kill, if he does not do as he is told, scars burn into his neck, every morning he counts them to see the times he has died in his sleep.

The devil has cursed him with a crow’s heart, so anyone he loves dies within an hour of him touching them. Crowchild ran away from home to protect his family from himself.

Every time he dies or tries to kill himself the devil saves and heals him, and Crowchilds growing love of death and dreams of suicide make the crow that is in place of his heart and soul grow bigger and stronger.

Soon by the age of 20 his face is the only thing that resembles a human, the feathers and wings of the crow protrude from his body and his beak stained with the blood from his gums sticks out of his lips around his teeth outside of his mouth. He can still taste the blood in his mouth but to his possessor blood is a well-loved drink therefore Crowchild is now a cannibal or only when necessary.

Follow him through a land where hell has been moved on to earth and bats cover the atmosphere blocking the sun from the sky, watch as he is forced to kill strangers, his friends and the innocent in order to move up the ranks to become the new grim reaper.
