"-Christmas time, oh yes it's Christmas time, todaaayyy... And when-" the holiday melody was cut short by me pounding my fist on the stupid alarm clock, that can't just beep to wake me up.
Yawning and stretching, I hopped out of bed and dragged my feet across the hall, to Nathan's room.
Nathan has been my best friend for a long time now, he helps me a lot with my memory problems.
I shook him lightly. "Come on, Nate. Wakey Wakey."
"Ugh.. What time is it?" He groaned.
"Three o'clock." I replied.
"A. M.!?" Nate exclaimed.
"Yes, A.M. You told me to wake you early.
"Not that early.." He mumbled, before falling back to sleep.
Whatever, he can sleep in if he wants to. I walked back to my room and got dressed.
As I was dressing, I felt I was being watched. No, scratch that, I know I was being watched. I could feel eyes burning into my back.
'Dont turn around. Turn around and you will die.' A little voice in the back of my head told me. Why would it say that? Nonetheless, I continued on, never once looking. Not because I was scared to die, never. Death is inevitable. It's what would have caused it that frightened me.
"Ready?" My dad asked. We did this every Christmas. Dad works in a resteraunt- whose name will not be mentioned- and we go in every Christmas to clean and stuff, stealing a few snacks in the process. Well, no stealing, but you know what I mean. We had the whole place to ourselves, it was fun.
Dad unlocked the door and put the key code in, and we walked inside. The first thing I saw when I went in there, right in front of the door, was a little Santa nome looking thing, an I was immediately creeped out. I saw this thing every year, and it still gives me the heeby-jeebys.
Me and Nate walked further in, taking off our coats as Dad went to the kitchen.
I followed Nathan into the bar-dinning room- thingy. Basically, its a seperate room where there are tables and stuff, but the first thing you see when you walk in, is a big bar.
We say down in our usual spots, turning on the TV and putting on SpongeBob. I heard a noise coming from the other side of the room.
Only the part were we were in had the lights on, the rest of the room was in darkness.
'Must be dad' I though with a shrug. I kept pushing the thought way into the back of my mind that it was so much more.
