I woke up with a start, nightmares again. I've started traveling to Riften in order to find this supposed "Dawnguard". After what happened to my home, I'll give anything for a chance to hunt some vampires, I'll show them what it feels like to be pray.
I've only made it to Rorikstead so far but I'm planning on stopping by whiterun to speak to the companions for advice on fighting vampires, they are respected by local nords as great warriors and hopefully I will not have to doubt the validity of that respect. I had a drink at the in and was on my way, it didn't take long till Whiterun was in sight.

I quickened my pace, I couldn't help myself. I was eager to start hunting the blood suckers as well as to meet warriors of such fable strength. As I walked up the path the guards stared at me uneasily, it was as if they had never seen an Orc before. I approached the main gate as a guards approached me. He looked wary of me. I had no armor and only a woodsman's axe as a weapon, but I was ready for a fight.

"Halt Orc! The city's closed with the dragons about, what's your business" just my luck.

"I am here to seek the aid of the companions"

" that's rich! An Orc asking for a nords help!" The other guard laughed. The one in front of me spoke.
" tell you what, you tell me what you need help with and I'll tell the companions" I could tell he didn't mean what he said.
" please just let me in" I asked. The guard lost his humor.
"Stubborn, just like the rest of your kind." This guard was starting to get on my nerves. " why don't you go back with the rest of your stupid, pig faced people." The rage took hold, before I knew it I had grabbed the guard by his collar and lifted him into the air with one arm. The other ready to punch him right in his armored face. No one insults my people. The other guard drew his sword.

Just then a woman's voice distracted all three of us.
"That's some strength you have there. It'd be a shame if that kind of strength was wasted." The guard in my hand spoke.
" Aela! Help me with this madman!"
"Don't worry, I saw the whole thing. You guards aught to be ashamed for this. You can drop him now." Realizing she was speaking to me, I dropped the guard and he landed on his arse. "What's your name, Orc?" She asked.
"Durjund Gro-Kal"
"Well Durjund, you should come visit jorrvaskr, you could make a great addition to the companions." She walked through the front gate into the city. I stared after her.

"The companions."

I walked through the gate with no trouble from the guards.
