It felt like a huge wave had washed over us and we were under water. Slowly drowning in a clear abyss. Almost like dying had no effect but was upon us. The darkness was slowly closing in and was creeping towards the center of Neverland, threatening Peter's power.
The temperature seemed to drop and all the wild wilderness outside the treehouse seemed to stop. It was an eerie quite while peter's kisses soft broke the strange like aura. The wind felt quickly felt like it was sucked out of me as my feet slightly tingled. I slightly gasped a little as peter continued to seriate me with his fancy tongue tricks going along my collar bone.

"Peter, did you feel that?" I asked as I tried to sit up though it was pretty hard since most of his weight was on top of me while he kissed my neck. Peter made no action to move while making a growling noise in the back of his throat as I sat up. He continued to kiss me as I heard him murmur something about it's nothing and we should finish. "Peter I'm serious. Let's go check it out."
We were both still for a second until he figured out that I was not going to put up with it he groaned and rolled off of me. He looked pissed but this was important, something was wrong. Terribly wrong.
It made my body shake and tremble mechanically as if it has a huge power. It made me nervous as hell. I don't think I've ever been this scared even in the real world.
I slowly slid off of the couch, making sure to grab my sweater and my boots before going to Peter.
"What is it Anna? I really don't want to scare off a bunny because it's making noises." I glared at him as I crossed my arms.
"Haha, very funny. That was one time and this is serious. Didn't you feel that?" I asked as I rubbed my upper arms still feeling the chilling feeling.
"I didn't feel anything Anna, maybe you're over re acting." He said back. I looked at him skeptically while he had most weight on one leg and frustratedly ran his fingers through his hair making it even messier than when we were making out.
"I'm over reacting? Pan this is fucking serious! There is something here." He furrowed his eyebrows and frowned.
"Peter." He corrected me. I rolled my eyes and reached out grabbing his arm.
"Peter, baby, please do this for me." I looked into his eyes. His green intense eyes looked through my soul as they searched for something. Sighing his eyes softened and he softly smiled.
"Okay okay, if it will make you feel better we will go check it out but we are going to come back and finish this afterwards." I smiled slightly and held his hand.
"Thank you." He chuckled and opened the door as he led us towards the camp.
"I'm so whipped aren't I?" he joked making me giggle. "See, that noise alone will make me give you the world. That's a scary power Miss. Annabelle Josephs, not many can control that kind of power and you're such a delicate little girl- Ow! What was that for?" I just smirked as I let my hand cool off but I couldn't keep my eyes off the big red hand mark on peter's forearm still slightly burned. "I shouldn't have taught you anything to do with heat, it hasn't gone anyway I would like it to." He teased. I playfully shook my head as he continued talking down the path inching closer and closer towards the camp.
The astrosphere changed dramatically as we got closer to the camp. The air seemed to get colder, almost feeling artic. Peter kept talking and joking around but I couldn't focus on him. I felt like something was drawing me towards the cold power. It was strong but out of control.
The wind whipped and lashed in the air. Making some lose dirt on the ground to come up dance. The trees shivered as the wind started to howl through its branches. The only sound you could hear was the angry frightened wind and peter's banter as he continued to walk with me oblivious to the change around us.
I gripped Peter's hand tighter and got closer to his warm body. His soft skin brushed against my left arm sending even more chills raking up my body. I looked down at our two dirty hands intertwined together. If I had Peter I would be safe. Peter equals safety.
Lanterns started to appear along the path which meant we were just about to enter the camp. I started to pick up speed pulling peter along like a rag doll.
The camp looked disheveled and everybody was outside their tent, worried faces painted along them.
I knew something was wrong.
Cuddled up and close by the fire was Ethen. I could faintly see tears streaming down his face and see him mumbling something to himself. I let go of Peter's hand and walked towards the crying boy.
Slowly walking up to him I took note of his appearance. His eyes were bloodshot like he hasn't gotten much sleep. His clothes were wrinkled and unkempt with spots of dirt and twigs intertwined with the fabric. His face was dirty as well with dirt covering his forehead and cheeks.
"Ethen, are you okay?" I asked kneeling besides him, looking in his face. He looked at me with his sad glassy eyes. Tears making their own trails through the dirt on his face. His lip trembled when he looked at my softened face and a couple more tears slipped out. "Oh Ethen," I whipped the few tears with my thumbs. "Please don't cry. I'm here now, I'll protect you." I sat on the log next to him and wrapped my arms around his small torso, He hugged me back and snuggled close to me. He was freezing as a matter of fact the whole camp seemed to be cold. I kissed the top of his head as he cried the last bit of tears as soothed him.
"What happened Ethen?" I softly asked rocking us gently back and forth. He looked up at me and sniffled a little bit as snot leaked out of his nose. I wiped it from his nose with my shirt and softly smiled at him.
"I-I had a nightmare." he said wobbly as his lip trembled. I petted his hair and kissed his head again.
"I'm here now, you don't have to worry." I cooed. His crying quieted down and he looked up at me.
"Thanks Anna." I smiled gently and played with some of the pieces of his hair.
"Did you feel anything strange tonight? Like a cold wind?" He frowned. The wheels turning in his little head while he thought. Leaves crunched behind us and I turned to see Felix behind us. "Felix," I smiled and he nodded back.
"We did feel something, we sent the shadow to go look for what caused it." Peter sheepishly walked behind Felix and crossed his arms. I glared at Peter.
"I told you I wasn't feeling things! This is serious." Ethen made a noise in the back of his throat and held his tiny hand for comfort. "It's going to be okay Ethen, we will find what this thing is."
Just then a black figure came from the sky line to behind Peter. Whispering in a foreign unknown language it updated peter where this mysterious force was coming from. As soon as it came it was gone in seconds. Flying above the trees to god knows where.
"Shadow says the source of the power is in the center of the island. He thinks that this creature is getting weak but will soon be strong again so we need to go now." I nodded and placed Ethen back on the log.
"You're not going to take me with you?" Ethen whimpered. My face softened and cupped his cheeks.
"I'm sorry buddy, I just don't want you to get hurt. Me and Peter can handle this monster and then you'll be safe." I assured him.
"Are you sure?" He asked shivering a little. I made a blanket appear to wrap around him. I put it on his shoulders and hugged him.
"I'm very sure." I smiled softly. I stood while looking down at the sweet little boy. I looked at Peter and Felix determined to stop whatever this creature was. I really don't need another Bov situation. I walked up to the weapon rack and grabbed my lucky dagger placing it in my belt. "Come on we need to catch this bitch." I started walking towards the center of the island mostly running on adrenaline. Trying to ignore the little bit of fear in the very pit of my stomach. If this bitch was going to threaten the peacefulness of the island we just fixed it has another thing coming.
It takes about twenty minutes to walk to the center of the island from the camp since it needs to be covered with brush and trees so it wouldn't take long. Except I'm walking so fucking fast, I don't know if it's because I'm cold or if I'm that determined. I can hear the boy's footsteps behind me, following silently. It's a good thing we didn't bring the lost boys because it's like a marching band behind you. They are the opposite of what we need to be right now.
I could feel the power in the air, it was strong. The power over all could even knock you down. It was chilling and dry. It made my fingers tingle and my toes wiggle. My heart overall was the warmest thing and only got warmer as we got closer.
This thing won't be easy to take down.
The leaves underneath my soft girly shoes started to crunch harder as if they were frozen. The power now almost was so powerful it was sucking mine out from me and it was getting stronger the closer we got.
As we got into a clearing the power suddenly stopped. I bent over and put my arms on my things while I took a few big breathes. I heard a gasp in front of me and slowly looked up. This had to be the monster doing all this, the one threatening our peace. I slowly reached for my dagger as I stood my full extent still not looking at this thing.
When I had a secure grip on my dagger I looked up to face this beast by myself. Little did I know when I did look up I was not faced with a beast. It stood on two legs it body fully exposed as I stared it down. My face got pale and my cheeks tinted pink. I couldn't talk, I was so full of questions.
How?
What?
Why?
Their brown hair was so full and lush ending right about their waist. Their body was absolutely stunning, not a flaw in sight. This person was gorgeous. All I could do was scream and screaming is what I did. I screamed bloody murder as I stared at this thing. It just looked confused and awkward.
How can this fucking happen?!
Peter and Felix came running up behind me.
"Anna! Anna! What's wrong?!" Peter yelled as he tried to find me. As they got into the clearing Peter held me tightly. "Baby, what's wrong?" I couldn't make any noises so my cry just came out weak and creaky. I slowly pointed at the person ten feet in front of us. They looked to where I was pointing and it got quite.
"Damn." Felix muttered.
I'm going to fucking kill the shadow.
