Joy(Mackenzie's mother) drove us to the elementary school. We talked to the teachers about how everything was going to work, then we got on the bus to the airport. My friends would be out of school by now, so I texted them.
Me- Heading to the airport now
Chloe- Have fun!
Maria-Good luck
Me- thanks
When we got to the airport, Ms. Fleming stood up.
"Ms. Ruth is going to lead everyone up to check in. Annabelle, you know what you need to do with your chair. Mackenzie, stay with Annabelle. Let's go," said Ms. Fleming .
We went into the airport and waited in line to check in. We checked in, and the battery got taken out of my chair . Mackenzie pushed me through security. Then we went to wait in the waiting area by the gates, and I took some pictures with Mackenzie and the students .
" Families with small children and disabled passengers on flight 268 to Toronto may begin boarding now," they announced over the PA system.
Mackenzie pushed me to the gate as the P/1 choir got up and made their was to the gate.
Their is a grade p/1 choir and a grade 2-5 choir.
I handed in my boarding pass and wheeled to the plane. I got put on that chair thing that goes up stairs and down the aisle. They stowed my chair for me. The aisle chair took me to my seat. I have an aisle seat. Mackenzie is beside me, and beside her, a grade primary. After a little while the plane took off. The flight is about an hour and half long. I listened to music and read a book most of flight.
When we landed, I was among the last to get off, since I needed help. After we got our luggage, we went over to buses we rented. We went to our hotel.
When we got to our hotel, Ms. Fleming stood up and said"Stay put. When I call you name, come and get your room key,".
After a little while, she called my name. I got moved out of the bus, and the 4 grade primaries that I was sharing a room with got up as well. We went to our room. The little girls that I'm sharing a room with immediately claimed beds, so I took the cot. We unpacked a little, then re did our hair and head downstairs to the restaurant for supper.
