The best mistake I ever made

As I was debating if I'm in love with Henry or not I had must of passed out because I woke up on my bedroom floor.

I groan and get up. I then hear voices downstairs.

"NO! She's not going back!"

"Ray she has to!"

"I don't care! Leave her alone!"

"Fine Ray, but sooner or later she'll find out! If you need me I'll be at the old maple grill with Chole. Mom and dad will be there too. And soon so will maddie!"

"GET OUT!" I hear Ray yell.

I had never had seen or heard Ray yell. Ray was usually a cool guy. I sat on my bed a little scared. I check my phone for any texts but there was nothing. Where was a late night buddy when you need one? I decided to call Charlotte. She always knows how to cheer me up. I called her a few times but no answer.

That's probably because it's 1:30 in the morning. The only other person I could call was Henry. And I'm not calling him.

5 seconds later I dial his number. He picks up.

"What are you doing awake?" I ask him.

"I woke up from your call!" He replied sleepily.

"Oh sorry."

"It's fine what do you need?" He asks.

"Can you come over, like now?"

"Now?! Maddie it's 2:00! What the heck do you need at this time! Just go back to sleep!" He yells.

"Well I'm sorry! I just needed someone to talk to and char is not awake so..." My voice cracks.

Why the heck I'm I crying? And over him?!

"Okay fine give me 5 minutes." He grumbles.

I shut the phone and sit quietly in my bed.

Who was Ray talking to?

Old maple grill?

I really wanted to go to the 'old maple grill' right that second but I knew I couldn't.

I suddenly hear the door Knob rattle.

What if it's Ray?

The door opens and thankfully I see Henry standing in his PJs and his hair messed up with a sweatshirt in his hand.

"Okay what do you need?" He asks.

"Can I have a hug?" I bit my lip.

"You called me over for a HUG!?"

"No, well yes and no" I say.

"Yeah whatever." He sleepily walks over to me.

I giggle and give him a hug.

"How did you get past Ray?" I ask him.

"Easy, I'm smoooooth." He laughs

"Okay kid danger!" I laugh and then sigh.

"You okay?" He asks me.

"Not really." I sigh.

"What's wrong?" He asks me.

I tell him everything except the part with old maple grill. For some reason I really don't want to tell him about it.

"Wow, so you have no idea who that was?"

"Yeah."

"Okay so..now what?" He asks me.

"I don't know? How about video games?" I ask him.

"If I can stay awake." He smirks.

I smile.

We played video games for about 10 minutes until I heard snoring next to me.

"Henry! Henry?" I shake him.

"Mmm." He groans and turns over.

"Your on my bed!" I yell.

I giggle and push his hair of his face. I close the lights and soon drift off to sleep.

"Good morning maddie! And HENRY?!" I hear someone yell.

I open my eyes and see Ray looking at me. And I look beside me and see Henry sleeping.

Shit

"Ray I swear nothing happened like that!" I get up.

"Oh really?" He pulls me off the bed.

"Henry!" I yell.

"What?" He says.

"It's Ray get up!" Ray yells.

"Oh my god!" He gets up and runs to the door.

"Come back here Henry!" Ray yells but he already left running.

"Madison Manchester! Explain this right now!" He yells at me.

"NO you explain what's wrong with you?" I yell back.

"What are you talking about?!"

"Everything! You've been a really bad mood and you keep yelling at me! And sure enough even Henry hart!"

"Why do you care so much? Especially henry?" He eyes me.

"Maybe because he's my best friend and I care for him! But you don't care for any of us! That's it."

I push away from Ray. I stuffed a bunch of stuff in a bag and I see henrys sweatshirt and put that in the bag too.

"And where are you going?" He asks.

Somewhere so far not even Charlotte can find me.

I run downstairs and get to the tubes. I took one last glance at the place.
