After that explanation, Mrs. Greby finally announce who will be my partner. As I closed my eyes in a tight manner with my long, black bangs with caramel highlights over them, I crossed my fingers and hoped for the best.
"Lexi, your partner will be Jessica."
I feel bad for her, at least it's one weight off my shoulder.
"Skylar, your partner will be Logan."
Oh please tell me she did not Logan. Unless there's another Logan in the class.......nope.
I. Am. Crying. Internally.
As the bell rang I run right away to my locker, grab my lunch and Lexi. I practically dragged her to the cafeteria and plopped her and myself to our homeroom table.
"Wow Sky. You are strong. What's the problem?"
"Logan. Logan is my problem. I really don't want him as a partner."
"But weren't you like, best friends with in kindergarten or something?"
"More like ex-friends."
"Come on Sky, no one uses DSI's anymore."
"That's not the problem, he broke it on purpose and didn't say sorry."
As we were having that conversation, the devil himself came over.
"Hey Sky."
"Only my friends can call me that."
"Aren't we still friends?"
"Ew. No."
"Why can't you forgive and forget."
"Because you haven't said sorry."
"But that wasn't my fault, I told a million times. I dropped and tripped on it."
"I don't want to talk to you right now."
"Well you have to talk to me at some point cause you and me are partners."
After that conversation, I didn't have the nerve to eat. So I threw my lunch away, and marched back to the table and dropped myself next Lexi.
