"You are going to stay here while I go out and talk to them, you understand?" I nod my head, subsituting for a real aswer. My mother looks into my eyes and rests her hand on cheek in fare-well. She turns and leaves me. I am kneeling, under an over-pass and sharp rocks cut into my knees. I watch her go and hold up her arms in surrender when she sees the men. Every single on of them are holding guns and pointing them at my mother.  She walks towards them, slowly and carefully. She is just about to speak when I hear the shot ring out. There is no warning as I see my mother lying on the ground in a pool of blood with a bullet through her head.

This is all my fault.
