The memories of last night were still fresh in your mind, a vivid replay of Daisuke's hands on your skin and his lips against yours. It made keeping your distance nearly impossible.

Every glance, every brush of your hand against his, felt like a spark reigniting. Even now, as you sat at breakfast with both families, your leg casually rested on his lap beneath the table.
His hand was draped over your knee, fingers tracing light, absent-minded circles, as if it were second nature to touch you.

You tried to focus on the conversation around you as both families chatted animatedly, but the weight of Daisuke's palm on your leg sent small shivers up your spine.
Every now and then, he'd glance your way, a knowing look in his eyes that made your heart race.

The chatter hushed when Daisuke's mom clinked her glass gently to get everyone's attention.

"So, here's the plan, everyone,"
she started.

"We'll spend the morning at the beach, then head into town for a bit of shopping and a tour of the city.
Later tonight, I've made reservations for dinner at a nice restaurant, so make sure to dress up!"

A chorus of agreements followed, everyone nodding along.
You could feel Daisuke shift beside you, leaning closer as he turned his head to you, his voice dropping.

"The beach sounds great.
I've been wanting to go for ages,"
he said, his excitement bubbling over. "And we should definitely pick up some souvenirs while we're in town.
I need to get something for my nieces—they'll love it."

Your expression softened as you listened to him talk about his nieces. The way his face lit up while he spoke about them made your heart swell.

"They're going to be so excited when they see what I bring back,"
he continued, grinning.
"They were so upset they couldn't come on this trip. They've been begging me to take them to the beach all summer."

"Aw, That's so sweet.
How old are they?"
you said, your lips curving into a smile.

"Eight,"
he replied.
"They're twins. Super energetic, and apparently, they're big fans of you now."

You blinked in surprise,
tilting your head.
"Fans of me? How's that?"

Daisuke chuckled, his hand giving your knee a gentle squeeze.

"They've seen your pictures in my gallery. They keep asking when they'll get to meet you."

You tried to laugh it off, but the thought of his nieces talking about you like that was endearing beyond words.

"That's adorable,"
you said, your voice warm.
"I'd love to meet them someday."

"They'd love you. And honestly...
I think you'd love them too."
Daisuke's gaze softened as he looked at you, his thumb absentmindedly brushing over your knee.

"One of them—Delilah—she's obsessed with some K-pop group," Daisuke said, his brow furrowed as he tried to remember.

"What was it again? NLT? No, wait, NCT or something like that..."
He tapped his fingers on the table, thinking aloud.

You chuckled, shaking your head.

"NCT? That's the one with all the subgroups, right? Like 23 members or something crazy?"
