There it was, the big red box that had been in my mom's bedroom closet for years. I never got to see what was in it, or really know what it was. I needed to know what it was, it was killing me inside. I walked over to the untouched box. As I tried to open it my mom barged through the door screaming at me.

" Kaylin! Why aren't you at school? You are grounded for the next month! I am even taking away your devices!" I was wondering why my mom had to be so crazy and forgetful. Did she not know it was Saturday?

"Mom, it's Saturday. I don't have school today...." She looked at me and called me a smart mouth. She said a fifteen year old girl shouldn't 'talk back to their other' like that.

My parents had gotten a divorce when I was only about seven years old. That was the year that the box appeared. I decided to live with my mom, but then we were in a car accident and she went a little crazy. She could still talk and drive and stuff, she is just a little forgetful sometimes. There was one time when she asked me how the fish was doing, and we don't even have a fish. We only have two dogs, Lucy and Boston, and a cat named Zelda. She always called them fish for some reason though....

My little sister, Isabel, is only three years younger than I am. She is only twelve, but she is a perfectionist. She always gets straight A's and stuff. She gets really annoying sometimes though. She is like a little grammar Nazi who is always on patrol. I can picture her wearing a shirt that says "Grammar Patrol. Watch Your Mouth."

I also have a little brother, his name is Hayden. He is nine. He is a nutcase, he can practically bounce off the walls whenever you give him sugar or any other candy type stuff. He is crazy like my mother.

Me on the other hand, I love to read and I am a really good student. Yeah, no. I hate to read actually. I am a good student when it comes to grades, but I hate school and everything along with it. My least favorite subject is history, or anything that has to do with Social studies. There are too many annoying people at my school. I'm just glad I finally got out of that stupid middle school Isabel goes to. the teachers suck and so does the food. I would rather eat from a dumpster.

By the time my mom left the room, I wasn't thinking about the big red box. I don't think my mom knows I found it, because she had it in a hole she made whenever she was throwing things at my cat. she wasn't mad at her, she thought she was a raccoon...

I walked away from the box, forgetting what I was even doing in there in the first place. I walked up to my room and grabbed my laptop. I wasn't sure what I was going to do on it, so I put it back and went to sleep.
