I watched a girl die today
Too much liquid came out of her head
She lied there in a policeman's arms
Shaking in the pool of her blood
The policeman tried to calm her down
But I think he knew she wasn't going to make it
Her eyes searched for comfort, for a familiar face
But there wasn't any. Just strangers staring
She was scared, I could tell. She wanted her mom.
But all she had was that policeman whispering
Hey its going to be okay!
But it wasn't. She died. Her eyes closed forever.
And the policeman cried, then they packed her away.
They mopped up the blood. A girl died today.
