"Mommy! Daddy!" A small boy with blonde hair ran towards the couple.

"Scorpius!" Draco said excitedly and picked up the small boy. "How was your first day of school?"

"It's was great! There were so many things to do and I even made some new friends!" Scorpius looked so excited "I love preschool!"

"That's great" Hermione smiled at her son. "You know when I was younger I loved school too."

Draco rolled his eyes and let out a small chuckle.

"Don't laugh" Hermione said "You know that you loved school too."

Scorpius went on and on about how great his school day had been and how much that he loved school and couldn't wait to go back tomorrow. That boy was just like his mother. Hermione listened to every word that the boy said as she played with the ring in her finger and rubbed the small bump on her stomach.

"Well" Draco said "to celebrate Scrop's great first day at school I think we should all go to the park. Doesn't that sound like a good idea Hermione?"

"I think that sounds wonderful!" She replied with a smile on her face.

So they all hopped into their muggle car and headed to the park. When they arrived at the park Scorpius ran towards the swings. Hermione was about to get up and push him before Draco stopped her.

"It's fine" Draco kissed his wife's forehead "I'll push him you can rest."

"Thank you" Hermione leaned back against a tree. She smiled as she watched her husband run over to their son and push him on the swings. She thought about her unborn child and smiled. She had a great life.

Then, suddenly the tree behind her disappeared and she fell. She looked over at Draco and her son but Scorpius was gone and the park was replaced with a battle scene. The war against Voldemort.

"Draco!" She cried out. Draco struggling against Voldemort's grasp. His wand was pointed against Draco's throat.

"Oh I see" Voldemort hissed at Draco "You are in love with the filthy mudblood and that just won't do. Avada Kedavra!" Voldemort yelled.

Draco fell lifeless to the floor.

"NO!" Hermione woke up screaming and sobbing. She looked over to her right where she expected Draco to be sleeping.

But she forgot.

Draco really had died during the war. That wasn't just a nightmare.

Hermione began to sob uncontrollably again. She would never get married to Draco, she would never have a family with him and she would never love again.

Because Draco was gone.
