Third Person POV

Carlos made his way towards Vikki's Hotel room. He knocked and waited for a response, but none came. He paused for a few seconds before opening the door himself.

"Vikki!" he cried out her name. "In here," he heard her voice feebly. He slowly made his way into her bedroom and the mess had him shocked. She peeked from her bathroom.

"Hey!" she said when she noticed his attention was still in her room. "Please don't judge. I am better than this I swear" she said. He chuckled.

"It's just dinner, Vikki," he said. "I thought so too," she said again going back into her bathroom. "Until Charles texted me the restaurant address and I had to find a dress," she said now walking outside.

She came and stood in front of him and Carlos's mouth went wide. "And if you know me well, I don't do dresses," she said as a faint huff came out of her mouth.

"Is it ok? Is it too much? Should I change?" she asked when he still blinked looking at her. "Don't even think about changing. You look-" he stopped.

She gave out a nervous chuckle. "You are not helping Carlos," She said in a sad tone. He still couldn't get the words out. He kept looking at her, taking in every part, every curve of her body. She moved around the room, getting the stuff she wanted. As she finally took her purse in and turned around Carlos stood right behind her.

Her breath hitched at the closeness. "You ok?" he asked with a grin and words coming out more of a whisper. Now she was speechless. She just gave a nod.

He slowly pushed her hair aside from her back. Vikki had her sight locked on him in the mirror at the front. His fingers gave a feeble trace on her back when she understood her zipper had not been done. He slowly zipped it up and looked at their reflection in the mirror.

"Thank you" she whispered. He gave a short nod. "Can--we-" the tension couldn't get the words out. "We should go," she said finally.

"Yeah, we should," he said as they moved together.

They sat in utter silence. Not a word was exchanged between them on their way to the restaurant.

"You should get a house," Carlos said suddenly. She looked at him confused. "You cannot live in a hotel room every time you are in Maranello" he added.

"It's fine actually. I never go to my hotel room. I mostly spend my time in the factory" She answered.

"On that couch. In your room?" he asked. "Hey! It's a nice couch" She hit his shoulders. He gave her a look. "What?" she asked smiling.

"Alright, if you ever feel you wanna sleep on a good, nice bed.."

"Carlos-"

"-you will call me. I have a guestroom and you are always welcome" he finished. She now turned towards him.

"You do know that you are spoiling me right?" she asked. He gave out a large smile. They reached the restaurant and he parked the car. She peeped over him at the building and noticed it was packed with people.

She shifted uncomfortably. "You alright?" he asked. "That is a lot of people Carlos," she said in a worried tone. "Hey, it's alright. We can take the back door" he said placing a hand on her knees.

"People are gonna write stuff. The least you want in a headline written that you are with a random woman-"

"-You are not random. You are one of the leading engineers in one of the greatest Formula 1 teams" he said. She placed her hands on his.

"But I am sure people are not gonna me accept having dinner with two Formula 1 drivers. I am not a model. I don't even know if I pull off a dress. I-"

"Don't you dare finish that sentence. Did you even watch yourself in the mirror with that dress?" he said. She looked at him a bit surprised.

"From the look on your face, I thought maybe we could cancel the night and go back. But if this is what is bothering you, then no" he said. He took her hands and held them. She again let out a restless whimper.

"I don't wanna cause any trouble. It is the last thing for you-"

"Then I will handle it. If it makes you feel better, it wouldn't bother me" he assured her. He opened the door and walked outside towards her side. Her eyesight followed him closely. He opened her door and put out his hand.

"Do you trust me?" he asked softly. She gave out a big sigh and took his hand jumping out of the car. He closed the door and was about to walk towards the restaurant when she stopped him by pulling the hand that he was still holding.

"Just do you know, I will always trust you," she said in a beloved voice. A small smile formed on his face when his stomach fluttered to hear those words from her.

"We should do this more often. You are good company" Alexandra said to Vikki as the four made their way outside the restaurants.

"Well your boyfriend knows where to find me" she replied. They were fully out and Vikki noticed the parking lot which now looked deserted. A sense of relief hit her. Carlos noticed it and placed a hand on her small back.

Her phone started ringing when she looked who it was, it was Fred. "Why is Fred calling me?" she asked.

"Did you do something?" Charles joked. She gave him a look and attended the call. "Fred, hey. Everything alright?" she asked.

"Vikki! Yes. I know it's late. But we have got the designs ready for the upgrades. Could you take a look at it" he said.

"Now?" Carlos mouthed to Vikki. "Um..Ok. Uh..." She rubbed her forehead. "Ok, I will go to the factory. I'll take a look at them" she finally said.

"Thank you, Vikki," he said and hung up and turned towards her drivers. "How long is our factory from here?" she asked.

"It's not that far. I can take you" Carlos offered. "Great. I see you tomorrow at the factory Charles. It was wonderful meeting you Alex" she said and turned to Carlos. He gave a nod to his teammate and they made their way towards Carlos's car.
