Chapter 2

Granny Caroline (or line) paced the room with (instead of her usual scowl) a frown on her face, looking and searching into each and every one of our eyes, like we were not meant to be there. And to tell you the truth it was rather scary, but not as much as what happened next. After staring at us for about 20 minutes she stopped pacing and turned to the stairs and called down Ellie (short for Elizabeth aka our psychopath cousin) then turned to us and smiled. Actually smiled. We stood there stock still of shock. Then she started laughing. She was laughing so hard that there were tears coming out her eyes. By the time she finally stopped, Ellie had come down looking as shocked as us. After looking around she noticed us, or more likely Lionel (she has a bit of a thing for him, even though she’s, like, our cousin, I mean, gross or what) and blushed, as she was in her pj’s in front of him. She ran (more like sprinted if you ask me) back up the stairs to, obviously, wash and get dressed.

“What was that all about, I mean she actually blushed for like now reason. Did I say something?” He just sat there looking totally innocent (I really have to stop saying that, totally, I mean) like he didn’t know that his own cousin had a crush on him. I don’t see why though. I mean he has curly, untamed hair that drops over his forehead like a lion’s (Hint: the name) mane, Green hazel eyes that brought out his caramel coloured skin. I mean, how could she like him (hee hee). When he said that we all burst out laughing and he sat there looking bewildered.

“What’s so funny?” he asked in an innocent voice (but then again he’s always innocent)

“Nothing,” I said trying to breathe because I was laughing so hard, “just your face, OW” doubling up I pain. An image flashed through my head. My psychic powers were working; something bad was going to happen. Something very bad. Gran stopped laughing as soon as I had said ‘ow’ and was by my side in an instant, (For a lady of 50 she was fast). She helped me to a chair and got me comfortable, only I didn’t need to be comfortable. When I’m in psychic mode I don’t feel or see any thing just the pictures that float about in my head (it’s cool but freaky at the same time, weird, huh).

“What is it what do you see” By this time everyone had crowed around me (this always happens, if I ever have a psychic moment all eyes in the room will always be on me).

“I see… I see” I stared “I see”

“Alright enough with the ‘I see’s’ already!! Just tell us!” Lionel complained. It seemed that I could only hear but not see my siblings at these moments.

“SHUSH” was the response he got. (bad luck for him, hee hee)

“I see” I continued (I’m like a zombie at these times) “Ellie”

“Elizabeth?” Gran asked (but you see I couldn’t hear her so I continued)

“Ellie, in her room. Changing. There’s someone’s in the room with her”

“Ewww!!” Lionel exclaimed “Who would want to watch Ellie change?!” to this he got a large wack on the head from Amber.

“SHUTUP, IDIOT” (if I had been normal, I would have so laughed at that)

“She’s not alone” I continued for the second time. “Fey. A Fey is in there, in her room with her. Watching her. His plan. To use to get to us. Going to perform the… the changeling trade on her. HELP HER!!! QUICK!!!” I ended, then with another groan of pain, I resumed my former self, but Gran was long gone. Running up the stairs. Going to save Ellie. Our psychopath cousin.
