(Alec's POV)

I felt someone grab me. Sadly, they pulled me out of the water. I couldn't see what was going on, I was barely conscious. I want to go back in the water. It was peaceful down there. Before I fully fell into the abyss I heard Magnus's voice yelling and I felt him pick me up and run. Then everything turned to nothingness.

I woke up in the institute's infirmary. I really didn't want to wake back up, I wish I had stayed in that peaceful abyss. I realized what was going on around me. Isabelle was staring at me with tears in her eyes yelling why I would do such a thing. Do what? Slip and fall? I saw Maryse and Robert arguing in the background, as usual. Then I saw Jace, staring at me. I felt very awkward and I just buried the blanket over my head. Isabelle yanked it off and yelled again "WEll?!!" I faintly tried to reply "Jeez don't talk so loud." Isabelle was starting to get even more angry with me when Jace swept in "Your pretty calm for someone who attempted to kill themselves." "What..?" I replied softly. "YOU KNOW WHAT!" Isabelle yelled again. "YOU TRIED TO END YOUR LIFE BY JUMPING OFF THAT BRIDGE!" I tried to reply as quickly as I could "Whoa whoa whoa I didn't try to do anything like that. I slipped and fell that's why you found me down there. It was storming and I was sitting on the bridge and when I attempted to get off the bridge I slipped and fell into the water." Isabelle seemed a bit off put by my statement then I heard Jace talk again. "Then what happened between you and Magnus? The text you were about to send him." For fucks sake they looked at my phone. "Look I really don't want to talk about it." I said as I got up and started to walk away. Jace talked again. "Well we really want to know about it." "Its none of your business." I scowled. "OH but it is." Isabelle replied. I turned around and raised my voice at them. "Look if you want to know so badly go ask Magnus why he was kissing another women." I left them to think on that statement as I left and headed straight out the door and walked as far away from the Institute as I could.
