"How aren't you nervous?" Asks my cousin Ryan. "I don't know really." I replied. He shrugs and and says "well it's time." And nudges me on the shoulder. "Good luck." He says. I turn to him and smile then look forward and start walking. I get to the alter and wait there. The music starts playing and I look over and see Isabelle walking down the isle with the flower girl behind her nervously tossing flower pedals behind her. Isabelle's dress was beautiful. I stared into her eyes while she walked down the isle and when she stood in front of me. The priest went through the typical stuff but then it got to the "I do's". "Do you Isabelle Springs take this man to be your husband?" "I do" she says. "And do you Hym Johnston take the woman to be your wife?" "I do" I said. "You may now kiss the bride." I lean forward and kiss her on the lips and everyone cheers and applauds as we make our way out of altar and we all drive to a separate building for the party. We get there and everyone floods in and starts congratulating us as the music starts up. I go to the punch table and get two glasses of champagne. I give one to Isabelle and have one myself. Everyone is dancing to the song Kids by MGMT and so are we. Then the song Mondo Bongo comes on and everyone slow dances. We headed to the center and everyone watched us dance smoothly to the music. The rhythm and timing couldn't have been more perfect in how we were dancing. We danced our faces inches away from each other as we glided across the dance floor. The song finishes and everyone claps and continues to dance. The music finishes and everyone goes home.
THE NEXT DAY
I wake up and put on my regular black shirt and jeans with shoes. I walk over and look at my leather jacket and pick it up. " it's been a while." I say. And put it on. I walk outside and get in my new car that I got before the wedding. I only wait about five minutes before Isabelle walks out and gets in and kisses me on the cheek. I drive out of the drive way and go to the road which is a long road with no cars really. I look at her and she curls up on my side and I smile and reach into my jacket pocket and pull out my old aviators and put them on and Isabelle looks at me and I look at her and just smile. I look at the road ahead of us and say "Another day Another life." And hit the gas pedal.
