Our history

In this world the countries never separated and the power of control is handled differently. It was decided that your life style would be determined on the day and moment you were born. By your eye color. Insane? I know. Since they thought each life had already a destiny, then why not let fate decide how one's journey should start? Well...that's what they want everyone to think. This way they can easily control humanity, thanks to genetic studies.

It was decided that:

The class superior was chosen to be for those who were born with blue colored eyes.

The medium class, although they were just as superior, were those born with green colored eyes.

The low class, those born with brown eyes.

It wasn't decided to be like this because of it's beauty, but because each color made the person obtain an ability.

Blue eyes could focus on one's mind. Go through one's memories, truths, lies, play with your thoughts...

Green eyes focused on the heart. They can make you feel any emotion they desire, happiness, sadness, make your body feel weak or strong...

Brown eyes focus on the extremities. They are fast, agile, flexible...They do not control others. Because of this they are considered the weakest and are sadly pushed around.

Knowing how genes work, people started to pair up with their own kind (don't think wrong, there's no incest), to play it safe and to not ruin or mess with the social classes. Even though knowing this, some couples, just a few, took the risk (hoping it doesn't make some kind of new species). There was no problem at all, the child would inherit one or the other. All of these arranged couples were between the superior and medium classes as a way of showing peace and no needs to battle for who should really be superior. The low class was not wanted. Matter of fact they were considered bothersome and were discriminated.

How you may ask? Well, it was established that:

-Those with Brown eyes cannot purchase a vehicle, they must ride in bycicles or use the bus since they have such good resistance. Helps with less traffic.

-All items Brown eyes purchase will cost them an extra 50%. They're useless so they should work twice as hard to earn the money.

-Brown eyes should only consider gruelling under the sun, hand making, use all your strength jobs. They're specialized for those.

-Only Blue and Green eyes have a variety of schools (including private schools for those who don't want to share or look at other kinds). Brown eyes must attend a normal one mixed. (Meaning that they can easily be bullied)

My parents were one of those arranged marriages, for the good of both social classes. My dad had Green eyes and my mom had Blue. I their daughter took on from neither, I was born with the color Brown.

I am Nanette, and this is my world.
