The morning sun peeked over the horizon, painting the sky in hues of gold and crimson. Ishan woke to the comforting warmth of Shubman’s arms around him. For a moment, the chaos of the world outside faded away, replaced by the steady rhythm of Shubman’s heartbeat.

“Good morning,” Shubman murmured, his voice husky with sleep.

Ishan smiled, snuggling closer. “Morning.”

“I could get used to this,” Shubman said, his dimples appearing as he grinned. “Waking up next to my fiancé.”

Ishan’s cheeks flushed, but his heart swelled with happiness. “You’re impossible.”

“And you love it,” Shubman teased, pressing a soft kiss to Ishan’s forehead.

Before the moment could linger, the door burst open, and Hardik barged in with a dramatic flair. “Hate to break up your love bubble, but we’ve got a situation.”

The group gathered in the living room as Mayank displayed a live feed on his laptop. “Raghav’s men are on the move,” he explained. “They’re heading toward the cottage. We’ve got about thirty minutes.”

“Perfect timing,” Shubman muttered, his protective instincts kicking in. “We need a plan.”

Abhi leaned forward, his expression serious. “We can’t run anymore. It’s time to face them head-on.”

“I agree,” Shubman said, his gaze shifting to Ishan. “But you’re staying here.”

“What?” Ishan protested. “No way. I’m not leaving you.”

Shubman cupped Ishan’s face, his voice gentle but firm. “I need to know you’re safe, Ishan. Please.”

Reluctantly, Ishan nodded, his eyes brimming with unshed tears. “Just… come back to me.”

“I will,” Shubman promised, sealing it with a kiss.

The group positioned themselves strategically around the property, ready for the attack. Shubman and Abhi took the front, while Hardik, Rohit, and Virat guarded the back. Mayank monitored everything from inside, his tech skills proving invaluable.

When Raghav’s men arrived, chaos erupted. Shubman fought with precision, his movements fluid and calculated. Abhi covered him, their teamwork was seamless.

Inside the cottage, Ishan paced nervously, his heart racing with every sound of struggle. Mayank tried to reassure him, but the fear in Ishan’s eyes was unmistakable.

Suddenly, the back door burst open, and one of Raghav’s men stormed in. Ishan froze, his mind screaming for him to run, but his feet remained planted.

“Stay back!” Ishan shouted, grabbing a nearby vase and hurling it at the intruder.

The man advanced, but before he could reach Ishan, Shubman appeared, his eyes blazing with fury. He tackled the intruder to the ground, his fists flying.

“No one touches him,” Shubman growled, his voice cold as ice.

The room fell silent as the last of Raghav’s men were subdued. The group regrouped, their breaths heavy but victorious.

Raghav himself appeared, flanked by two remaining guards. He clapped slowly, a sinister smile on his face. “Impressive. But you’re out of your depth.”

“What do you want, Raghav?” Shubman demanded, stepping protectively in front of Ishan.

“It’s simple,” Raghav said, his gaze fixed on Ishan. “The data your parents left behind. Hand it over, and I’ll let you live.”

“I don’t have it!” Ishan exclaimed, his voice breaking. “I don’t even know where it is!”

Raghav sneered. “Then I guess you’re useless to me.”

Before anyone could react, Mayank’s voice cut through the tension. “Actually, we do have it.”

All eyes turned to him as he held up a USB drive. “I decrypted the files we found in the warehouse. This is what you’re after, right?”

Raghav’s eyes lit up with greed. “Hand it over.”

Mayank tossed it to him, but before Raghav could grab it, Shubman lunged, tackling him to the ground. The USB drive skidded across the floor, landing at Ishan’s feet.

“You’ll never hurt him again,” Shubman growled, pinning Raghav down.

The authorities arrived moments later, thanks to a call from Virat. Raghav and his men were arrested, and the USB drive was handed over to the proper channels.

As the chaos subsided, the group finally allowed themselves to breathe.

“It’s over,” Abhi said, slumping onto the couch.

“Not quite,” Shubman said, pulling Ishan into his arms. “But the worst is behind us.”

Ishan buried his face in Shubman’s chest, his tears soaking into the fabric of his shirt. “I was so scared.”

“I know,” Shubman said softly, stroking his hair. “But we’re safe now. You’re safe.”

That evening, the group celebrated their victory with a makeshift party. Hardik played music, and Rohit attempted to teach everyone a ridiculous dance move. The laughter and joy in the room were infectious.

As the night wore on, Shubman led Ishan outside, where the stars twinkled brightly against the inky sky. He pulled Ishan close, their foreheads touching.

“I meant what I said earlier,” Shubman whispered. “I want to spend the rest of my life with you.”

Ishan smiled, his button nose crinkling adorably. “I wouldn’t have it any other way.”

Shubman kissed him, slow and tender, pouring all his love into the moment. “No matter what comes next, we’ll face it together.”

“Together,” Ishan echoed, his heart full.

---

Months later, life had returned to a semblance of normalcy. Ishan and Shubman moved into a cozy apartment, their lives intertwined in a beautiful rhythm. Their friends visited often, filling their home with laughter and love.

On a quiet evening, Shubman and Ishan sat on their balcony, watching the sunset. Ishan rested his head on Shubman’s shoulder, his fingers intertwined with his fiancé’s.

“Do you think they’d be proud?” Ishan asked softly, referring to his parents.

Shubman kissed the top of his head. “I know they would. You’ve been through so much, and you’ve come out stronger. They’d be proud of the man you’ve become.”

Ishan smiled, his heart at peace. For the first time in years, he felt truly safe, truly loved.

As the sun dipped below the horizon, they sat in silence, content in the knowledge that no matter what the future held, they would face it together.

The End.
