Chapter 16 // The End

Chapter 16.

I woke up to excruciating pain screaming. I looked around and saw parametics examining me.

"Don't worry ma'am we are taking you to a hospital."

"My baby." I whispered before passing out again.

I woke up again without the pain, I was in a hospital bed this time, I tried moving but my body felt sore. I think I'm dosed with morphine cause I don't feel the same pain I did a while ago.

I looked to the side and Louis was lying on the couch asleep.

"Lou." I raspilly called out. He didn't move. I grabbed an empty cup  and threw it at him.

He jumped up startled. I gave him a look and he came running to me.

"Do you like hospitals or something? God babe." He chuckled. "I'm so glad you're okay."

"Where's the doctor?" I asked.

"She is pretty swamped right now."

"How's liam?" I gasp.

"He's in surgery. It was really bad for him." Lou looked devastated.

"Oh god." I felt like crying.

"Babe, I need to wee I will be right back."

I nodded. While he left I hear Liam's name in the hall way. I peered out and heard someone mention time of death. My breath hitched.

He's gone. But he can't be! This is my fault!

I tried to grab onto something. I felt light headed. My chest was getting tight. I couldn't breathe. I couldn't keep standing, my knees gave out and I fell to the floor. I was shooting on my knees trying to catch my breath. I think someone noticed me because I felt a hand on my arm. Everything was moving so fast I didn't know what was going on. I was heaving, trying to get air into my lungs, I think I heard someone say Panic Attack but I could have imagined it.

Finally after what felt like hours I felt like I could breathe. I looked around and Lou was pacing back and forth. I blinked and realized I had been crying this whole time. I sniffled and Lou looked over and rushed to my side.

"Babe, are you okay? You were having a panic attack."

"Liam is dead." I sobbed out.

His eyes were red, "I heard."

"This is my fault, we never should have gone out." I muttered.

"Babe, the um officer said that the car was going way too fast, like way over the speed limit."

I looked away. "We were." I blinked back tears.

"Why?" He held my hand.

"I made him mad, he was so angry. I was yelling and I distracted him, it was the wrong time to tell him." I sobbed.

"What did you say?" He kissed my hand.

"I, I was, Louis I am so sorry!" I sobbed.

"Hey, shh babe its okay. What's wrong?"

"I told him I was breaking up with him." I choked out.

Louis suddenly went stiff. "What?"

"Louis I am so sorry, let me explain."

"You were cheating on me?! With my best friend? Whom is dead now by the way!" He yelled pacing the room.
