I woke up to the sound of the of the birds chirping a lovely tune, the bright sun burning my delicate eyes as they fluttered open, and my maid Gloria, who never seems to shut up in the morning, when I wanted for her to be quiet the most. " Miss Emily? Miss Emily are you wake?" I groaned, the echoes filling the empty spaces of my giant room. In my eyes it was so sad to believe that many people in many country's are starving to death without any shelter and I am here in a room almost as big as a regular house with all the work done for me and anything I wanted I had, I didn't want to feel like this, greedy, but I wasn't the problem, I was the presidents daughter.
" Miss Emily?" Gloria hummed, her accent reminding me of when I visited France, oh! How lovely it was, luxurious, beaut- I stopped my self. "Greedy" I once a again repeated, knowing that Gloria was listening, I didn't care. "Come in" I said as a gestured my hands for her to come to where I was now sitting upright, my feet dangling over the side of my big bed, I really don't use that much room when I am sleeping. She sat down next to me, it was so good to have company around, she was like an older sister to me, I could talk to her about anything, she listened and kept her word of what is said in here, stays in here. " Good morning miss-" I cut her off and once again repeated back what I had said many times before to her, " When you are here, I am just Emily to you, when around the rest of my family I am Miss Emily" I exclaimed, making sure my voice was calm.
Gloria was amazing, don't get me wrong, but that same mistake got me agitated a lot, I don't know why. " Okay Emily, you have school today!" I gave her the 'really?' look, letting her know I wasn't happy and certainly didn't want to get homeschooled by that arrogant snob again. She looked back, knowing I hated that stuck-up teacher. "No,no,no! Emily! You have it all wrong! Today you start school, a normal school, just like you wished. But may I warn you your father is not very happy about you decision, but oh well!" She shrugged, I really like that woman, my company, my best friend. I laughed and got up, she really is a life saver, in my eyes of course. Then a knock and a slam of my door, my dad came storming in, his eyes full of worry and sadness.
