A Day in the life of Lady Montgumry

I sighed boredly as I looked down at my paperwork. I hate doing paperwork! It's so dull and boring! Oh, how I wish I had something to play with... Then maybe I would get through this damned paperwork. I heard a knock on the door and looked up from my paperwork. "Enter" I said nonchalantly. I wasn't surprised to see my head maid Bella to walk in. "My lady, it's time..." She said. I grinned and stood up. "Well, what are you waiting for? Let's go!" I said and skipped out of the room.

Once we arrived to the lot, I looked around. There were so many people, slaves and nobles alike. It was easy to tell who was who. I walked with Bella on my trail, looking around along with me. Suddenly, a color amongst the dullness caught my eye. I stopped in front of a cage that held a boy about my age. He glanced up at me, and then quickly looked down again. I smirked slightly. He had blonde hair, bright blue eyes, and fair skin, almost like porcelain. He was beautiful, almost as if he where a nobel. "This one. I want him." I told Bella, and she nodded. Then I noticed that she was looking at the cages behind her. I turned around to see two adults, a male and a female. I walked over to them and looked at them curiously. Bella smirked at the man and he winced, looking away. "You know... You have been good lately... I suppose you may have a reward. Besides," I said and gently reached out to take a strand of the woman's long, light lavender hair, feeling it in between my fingers. "I like this one. She's very pretty..."

After purchasing the three, I walked inside my manor with Bella and the others behind. "Oh, the young mistress is home." Thompson said. "Welcome home, young mistress." Timber said while bowing his head. "Im glad we don't have to be alone with that brat anymore..." Canterbury said. I chuckled and looked at the three triplets. "You three are such a laugh!" I said, and then glared at them. "Now, get to work!" I snapped. They bowed and left. I then turned to Bella and my three new servants. "Bella, get them some clean and give them some suitable clothes. When you are done, bring them upstairs to my office." I said. Bella bowed. "Yes, my lady..." she said as I walked up the stairs to my office.

A while later, Bella came upstairs with the triplets and the three new servants. I looked at the new servants as they stood in a line in front of my desk. "Nice... very nice, Bella...." I said and my eyes stopped on the blonde boy. He was wearing a pair of black-framed glasses. "Bella.... Why is he wearing glasses?" I asked the head maid. "I discovered that he could not see very well, so I gave him those glasses." She replied. I nodded. "All right... I actually like him with glasses." I said with a smirk. "He looks quite adorable... " The boy winced slightly and I chuckled softly. "So, do you three have names?" I asked the servants. The woman and man nodded, but not the boy. "All right the, what are they?" I asked. "My name is Hannah Anafeloz..." The woman said. "My name is Claude... C-Claude Faustus..." The man said as Bella chuckled. She's going to eat him up.

I then looked at the boy. "Well, what about you dear?" I asked him. He winced slightly and shook his head no. "I-I do not have a name, m-miss..." He said. I knit my eyebrows. "Oh, thats a shame.... Well then, I shall call you.... Alois. Alois Trancy." I said, feeling satisfied with the name. Alois nodded slowly, letting the new name sink in. The triplets then surrounded him and started chattering.

"He's about the young mistress' age."

"He must be her new toy."

"I hope she doesn't break him like she did with the last one."

While this was going on, Alois backed up and then suddenly bumped into a table, sending a vase crashing to the floor. My eyes widened as the vase broke. Lily. Angry tears welled up in my eyes and I stormed over to Alois. "You... You twit!!!" I yelled and was about to bring my hand down to strike him, when someone stopped me. I looked to see who it was and growled to see that it was Claude. I shoved him back. "You ungrateful little slut! Bella, Punish him and get the others out of my sight!" I said. "And, the vase?" She asked. I winced slightly and clenched my fists. "Fix it." Bella nodded and herded the others out of my office, as well as pick up the broken pieces of the vase. Once everyone was gone, I dropped to the floor and curled up into a ball as tears spilled down my cheeks. "Lily.... Lily...." I could only mutter her name until I soon fell asleep.

I sighed softly as I walked into my office and sat down in my chair. I looked at the table where the vase use to be, and was surprised to see it there, fixed, except for a small chip on the rim, and filled to the brim with all different kinds of lilies and bluebells. Thats when I noticed the letter. I stood up and walked over to the vase, picking up the letter and opening it.

Dear Mistress Bloom,

I would like to apologize for accidentally breaking your vase. Miss Bella told me how much it meant to you, and what happened to your younger sister Lily. I understand why you were so upset. I had a younger brother named Luka, but he passed away from illness when he was very young. So, Miss Bella and I went out and picked you these flowers to put in the vase. I hope you like them!

P.S. Miss Bella helped write this letter for me.

I blushed softly and gently put down the letter. "Bloomsy!" Squealed Bella's younger brother, William as he came in and hugged me. He looked up at me and raised an eyebrow. "Are you alright, Bloomsy? Your cheeks are red and your heart is beating really fast!" He said. I looked down at him and smiled, a genuine smile. Something I haven't done in a long time. "You'll understand when you get older...."
