It seemed like 2 hours went by before Perrie pulled into the driveway of my flat.

Before she had showed up, I had made somewhat of an effort to clean up my place, sliding the empty pizza boxes and used tissues off the coffee table.

I looked in the mirror next to the door, ruffled my messy hair, and faced the door, gripping the cold doorknob.

I was met with the soft features of perries doll-like face, her mouth curling up in a sympathetic grin.

"Hi baba." She said sheepishly, immediately embracing me before letting herself in.

I didn't accept her greeting, just shot her a half-hearted smile and stalked over to the couch, slumping down on it.

"I brought some goodies." She said a bit louder this time. I smiled as she handed me two packets of chocolate digestives and my favorite mint tea.

"Thanks babe, your the best." Grabbing a handful of used tissues from the sofa and tossing them in a bin, trying desperately to remove any evidence that I had been crying.

"Jade."

"Yeah?"

"It's ok to feel ya know..?"

I looked back at her and immediately looked down, picking my chipped nail polish. I didn't have the heart to agree with her, I couldn't even speak, I felt so weak, so helpless.

"In order to move on you must let the feelings be felt, it won't last forever, but there's no point in trying to hide your emotions."

"They are there, they are real, and no one will judge you for that."

I had always struggled with letting people see how I really felt, maybe that's the reason why I always let Sam push me around all the time. Never arguing when he came home at 3am on the very few days we had together, or when he would pretend to listen to my feelings, aimlessly nodding and continuing to look at his phone.

"We love you jade." Perrie said, scooting closer to me on the couch and putting her hands in mine.

"Love you too." I turned to her and attempted a smile, failing miserably.

Perrie laughed and stood up walking to the door, letting in a fuming Jesy and a pissed Leigh Anne.

"and as for that Sam fellow, I've got a few words for that lad." Jesy said walking to the kitchen and putting more tea on the counter, not before embracing me of course.

"So sorry babe, that mans an ass for letting you go." Leigh Anne said, hugging me as well.

"How did you guys even walk in here on cue..?" I said laughing lightly.

"We always know when to come in poopy." Jesy said kissing my cheek.

"We'll get through this together Jade, you deserve so much better." Perrie stated.

"So, how about we lighten the mood in this place?" Perrie exclaimed

"Huh?" I asked

"How would you feel if I told you I got us four tickets to the Spice Girls reunion concert tonight at the O2??!"

The three girls immediately erupted in fits of cheers and giggles, jumping up and down and dancing around.

I chuckled at their silliness.

It's like we were 12 again. When we lived and breathed the spice girls, jelly shoes, and colorful chokers.

Talk about a throwback.

You would think that the girls and I would be totally chill about attending this event, since we are in a little group called Little Mix who have had countless number ones worldwide and even broke the vintage girl bands record by being the first British girl group to get a number one.

But we totally weren't.

After about 15 minutes of celebrating the girls finally settled down as I watched them intently, giggling at their childishness.

"Look little Jadie is smiling already!" Jesy exclaimed.

"That's the spirit pet!" Leigh Anne said

"How did you even get tickets Perrie?" I asked

"Well zayn and the boys will be attending so I figured why not us? Besides the spice girlies love us anyways..so it was simple."

"Guys what are we even going to wear??! This occasion is a once in a lifetime event!" Leigh Anne said

"Yes! So very once in a lifetime!" Jesy agreed.

"I'm sure Adam and Azaar can help us out with that."

Adam and Azaar (well technically Adam and Adam) are our makeup and hairstylist that we adore and bring everywhere with us. They also aren't too shabby when it comes to fashion.

"Invite em over! That is ok..right Jade?" Leigh Anne asked.

"Yeah..totally." I was started to become slightly skeptical about attending this event.

I just didn't feel like I was completely up for it. A big part of me just wanted to crawl under my soft white covers and hibernate for..I don't know.. the rest of my life??!!

But another part of me felt that I really did owe this to the girls, I had been unhappy for so long, and they all went out of their way to visit me on their time off to make me feel better, and wanted to take me out just because.

As Leigh Anne and Jesy scurried upstairs to pick out makeup and clothes, Perrie stayed behind.

"Hey babe, You up for tonight? I know you must not feel 100% right now." She said softly.

"Yeah..I mean.." I stumbled over my words, thinking in between.

Just go I thought to myself you can get through this

Just try.

"Of course! Maybe a night out will do me some good!" I said, trying to convince her.

She put on the biggest grin I think I've ever seen on her, and that's saying a lot if we're talking about Perrie.

"Yay baba!" She hugged me for the 100th time today

"You'll have an amazing time I promise! I'll be upstairs, join us when your ready!" And with that she sprinted up the wooden steps, almost tripping to her death in the process.

I giggled and checked my phone, a few messages from me mam and Perrie that I didn't check earlier.

0 from him.

And with that I took a deep breath and swiped left, deleting his contact.

this marked a new beginning.
