A/N: Sorry it's been so long! I got a little caught up in writing my actual book, and totally forgot about this. Anyway, I hope you enjoy this Chapter! Also, sorry for how short it is! I didn't have any ideas but wanted to write something anyway.

It didn't take long for the little girl to work her way into the daily routine of the Winchester's work. They brought her back to the bunker (Sam and Dean made sure everything dangerous was put away; can't have a five year old running around with a sword) and even used a spare room as her bedroom.

There was a problem, though, with her living with them. Their line of work had them out and about all the time, and bringing Y/N with them was not an option. Most of the time Cas would stay with her and basically act as a babysitter, and other times the brothers would take turns going on solo hunts.

The only problem is that Y/N had separation anxiety, and couldn't stand having even one of Team Free Will away from her.

This first became evident when Sam and Dean went on their first hunt after finding Y/N, about two weeks after they moved back to the bunker.

Castiel had offered to watch her despite the fact that he was a little nervous about watching over such a fragile being. With a bit of a pep talk from Dean, he sat down with Y/N and said goodbye to both of the brothers, and was then alone with Y/N.

At first, Y/N wasn't really sure where the brothers had gone. She just assumed it was shopping and didn't really mind, instead she busied herself with playing with the dolls the angel had got her when it became apparent that she would be staying for a bit.

Around an hour after Dean and Sam had left, Y/N walked over to Castiel, who had been watching her happily play dolls, and proclaimed, "I'm bored. Where's Sammy?"

Castiel, surprised at how quick the girl's attention had switched, responded, "They went out for a few days."

The little girl's mood instantly dropped, "Oh...A day is a long time. I wanted to see both of them."

Castiel felt a small bit of panic shoot through him, he didn't like it when Y/N was sad. It made him feel weird, like he had to protect her even if she simply was crying over a broken toy.

"Do you want to watch a movie, Y/N?" He asked, hoping that if he got her attention to turn to something else that she would be happy again.

Instantly the little girl's mindset shifted, "Okay! I want to watch Bambi!"

The movie worked pretty well, it kept Y/N distracted and entertained both Castiel and the little girl. Time went pretty quickly when Y/N was happy, and soon enough after Y/N had ate and played for a bit longer it was time for her to go to bed.

The problem was that she normally slept with either Sam or Dean because of nightmares.

As Castiel got her tucked in bed, her small voice came from under the covers, "Cas?"

Castiel, feeling Y/N's mood shift, felt that same feeling fill him again and responded almosy immediatly, "Yes, Y/N? What's wrong?"

Y/N shifted uncomfortibly, peeking out at the angel, "I miss Sammy and Dean. The scary dreams make me cry..."

A single tear rolled down her cheek, as she tried her best not to cry.

Castiel, since he wasn't entirely sure how to handle human emotions like sadness, did the only thing he knew. He let the girl sit up and wrap her arms around him, and did his best to calm her down.

"It's okay, Y/N,", Castiel said without releasing her from his arms, "they'll be home soon."

Y/N sniffled, and after a bit began to calm down. She gazed up at Cas, a stray tear falling.

"Cas?" She asked again, resting her chin on his chest as she looked up at him.

"Yes Y/N?"

A moment of silence past before Y/N found the right words to ask her question, "Can you stay with me and keep the bad dreams away?"

Castiel smiled down at the fragile girl in his arms, "Of course Y/N, whenever you need."

Y/N, now comforted that she was safe from her nightmares, started to drift off to sleep with her hand clutching a part of Castiel's trenchcoat in her hand.

"Goodnight Cas..." Y/N mumbled, half asleep while Castiel laid her down on the bed and stayed by her side.

"Goodnight, Y/N."
