Prologue:
It was in the middle of the evening, where this heartbreaking event between these two lovers happened. It wasn't a total surprise, the whole neighborhood knew how much these two fought, but the only thing that people couldn't deny, was the unconditional love they had for each other. They were like wings to a bird to each other; they couldn't function alright without one.
As their fight prolonged, everybody knew that this time it was real. Something felt different in the air, and the pair were not the only ones who could feel it.
"Carlos, Carlos! Please don't do this," Melissa yelled desperately. Her scream sounded like a screech, the neighbors even got goosebumps by the amount of desperation in her voice.
It was hard to see the love of her life wanting to free from her, mostly when he promised he was always going to be there. As Melissa yelled desperately, Carlos turned swiftly to her. 'I will be back', he mouthed to her, with blurry eyes. Melissa gasped as she saw his eyes, full of sorrow and hurt, so much pain that left her breathless.
She closed her eyes, waiting for her to snap back to life from her dream, but it wasn't working. She pinched herself, over and over again, but the cruel and horrible event was still happening. He put a hand to his chest when he heard her sobs turned louder. He didn't have a choice, he had to go for her sake! It would only hurt more if he didn't. As Melissa fell to the floor, Carlos mouthed the last few words she dreaded to hear. Her skin became pale and her sobs stopped, replacing with an emotion he couldn't quite describe. As fast as the night, chilly air went, he was gone...
Melissa stood in front of the place he met him. All the great memories were coming back to her, happy, yet...painful. Everything still looked exactly the same after all these years. The only thing that changed were the wrinkles adorning around Melissa's face. She took a deep breath, a sad smile showing on her face. With one last glance back, she took a step front, gripping her red umbrella in her hands.
As she entered, bright, big letters were left behind that read Siempre.
