The journey was long, all the way down from the metallic disappointment; part of it felt eerie watching all the metallic soldiers now thrown on the floor, unable to carry their weight anymore. With no brain to connect to, they've become no more than dolls. It was eerie yet comforting; a nightmare was over, a nightmare of deaths that none of the 3 lived through, yet the journey through the waste till the camp was still long. slight chatter between the trio filled the gaps between where the air failed to sing

"How's the arm fitting?" Mary began to unsheathe her silver blade and thrust it forward, carrying her umbral in her other arm.

"Think it can last against mine?" She carried on her question.

brush paused for a second, the others following suit, their eyes glued on him. brush lowered his posture, reaching for a humble rock and throwing it in the air. He stretched out his other arm, and snap! With a blur of the wind, the rock had been cut in half.

Ereo let out a chuckle as he lowered his head.

"Want to do something stupid?" Ereo asked, his voice full of play, as he reached for the gun.

"Do you even have to ask?"

Mary took a few steps away from the barrel of Ereo's weapon.

Ereo spun his gun, juggling it between his arms and throwing it into the air, his movements filled with life and flair.

brush stretched out his right arm, and the blade shot out, a hooked blade the same length as his arm. It had spikes near the curved part of the hook and extra metallic plating on the bar of it.

"If someone gets in close range distance, you're done for," pointed out Mary, finally able to study the blade.

"Then I'll just punch them cold." brush was quick to respond as he lowered his posture, placing all his focus on his knees.

"Ready?" Hollered ereo

The thud of the bullet as it punctured through the air shattered the silent air; brush swung his arm roughly in front of him.

Everyone stood still, their eyes scanning and searching around the area, then howled.

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAHAAAHAHA!" brush relaxed once more as he raised his hook blade for all to see; the bullet had been caught by the spikes.

"OH DAMN," Ereo quickly holstered his gun as he walked towards the brush, observing the bullet.

"Oh! I was half expecting brush to get shot." Mary shrugged as she stopped to watch over the horizon; the sun was starting to reach its peak. the scorching sun burning all of their skins

Ereo and brush were still gushing about the bullet and blade when Mary called out.

"Is that smoke?"

Ereo calmly looked away from the blade and in the direction of his home.

the sky, which was now freed from the reign of the Enkidu, now ruled over with black smoke.

Ereo wasted no time before breaking out into a mad dash, the other two following suit.

"Is the town burning?" Ereo thought out loud.

"Let's hope some idiot forgot to sniff out a candle." Mary began to match Ereo's speed. brush falling behind.

Ereo's mind began to wander and bleed, the bleeding thoughts of all that could have gone wrong in his absence all merging together and submerging his brain till his eyes could not see the road ahead of him.

"It's going to be fine," brush was muttering to himself; however, his words were not reaching Ereo, who needed them more than he thought.

"What if Mary was right? It's just a candle going loose, and I'll look like an idiot. What if the Enkidu releases some last attack on the city while we're gone? Could it be Azthrya attempting to colonize the rest of the waste? Was there some riot?"
