You and Nahida had secretly been planning something for Scaramouche. He had always expressed that he didn't see any point in his birthday or that he didn't care for it, but as his partner, you were going to have that, and Nahida being basically his mom, wasn't gonna stand for that either. To respect his wishes, it wasn't big, but you both still surprised him. You had taken him to the city and bought him food and sightseeing(just for the peace so he didn't lose it). He did admit that some places were gorgeous to look at.

When you guys got back to Nahida, she had made a little dome of flowers and such, then proceeded to say how she was proud of his adventure and such. You agreed with every word she said. Externally, it looked like he hated it, all of it, but deep down, you all knew(even he knew) that the words meant a lot to him. For the first time in years he had people in his corner, and he loved it.
