Dae and Agust

Dae had to face the consequences of her actions and was ordered by the court to serve time. However, she was lucky that Seok was still alive --she didn't have to face murder charges.

The judge considered the circumstances that led Dae to her actions— One, a fierce maternal instinct to protect Agust, and two; her actions saved Jinah. Her lawyers were able to secure a plea deal of temporary insanity. 

She was sent to a women's mental health facility that specialized in helping women who had been victims of abuse. During her one-and-a-half-year stay, she underwent intensive therapy.

The court determined she was ready to be the mother Agust needed and signed off on her release, with the stipulation that she continue outpatient counseling for a period of one year.

To help Dae and Agust settle into their new life, Yoongi and the others bought them the apartment that once belonged to Hobi's sister. 

They surprised Dae and little Agust with a housewarming party with balloons and gifts. The apartment was newly furnished and stocked with a month's worth of food and household supplies to help Dae while she gets on her feet.

Mrs. Cho had a room of her own as the live-in caretaker of Agust when Dae would go to work and as their housekeeper. Everything was working out for a bright future for all three.

Agust's room was specially designed by a children's decorator that Jimin hired. The smiling seven-year-old was antsy and wanted to see his new room. 

They held a little ribbon-cutting ceremony and cheered when Dae let Agust cut the ribbon.

 J-Hope, smiling, unlocked the door and handed Dae the keys. "Welcome home, Dae." He then turned to Agust, his smile widening. "And welcome to your forever home, Agust and Sugar."

Agust bounced on his toes, clutching his well-loved stuffed cat, Sugar. "Can I see my room now? Can I?" 

Laughing, J-Hope replied, "Yes, you can—just as soon as your mother opens the door."

 Dae giggled; she was enjoying watching Agust and hadn't opened the door yet. Everyone was smiling and laughing with joy as they entered the apartment.

Agust grabbed Jimin's hand and pulled him along. "Where's my room!?"

 Jimin laughing pulls him in a different direction. "It's this one."

As they enter, Agust's eyes open wide in awe and disbelief. A bed with a ladder to climb to the top is enclosed with safety railings, and underneath is a desk for his schoolwork and a new computer.

He's still trying to take in the wonder of it all when he sees a cat tree and a litter box. "Mr. Jimin, Sugar doesn't need those." He points at them, looking confused at his Mr. Jimin.

Jimin kneels to his level. "Sugar might not need them, but go look over there." He points to a prettily wrapped box with holes on the sides. Agust lifts off the lid and inside is a real kitten!

He picks up the little ball of fluff and cradles him in his arms with Sugar. With tears running down his face he rushes to his Mr. Jimin.

Jimin wraps him in his arms, chin quivering and tears brimming in his eyes. "Do you like him?"

 With his face nuzzled into his little bundle of fluff, Jimin hears him say, "I love my Mr. Jimin."

"I know, I love you too, but what are you going to name your new kitty?"

Agust looks up at Jimin with adoring eyes, "Mr. Jimin."

Jimin bursts out laughing and sits down, holding them both. "I love the name!"

Agust bubbling over with excitement says, "Mr. Jimin and Sugar will be the bestest of friends!" He runs out the door, yelling for his mom. "Mom, look what my Mr. Jimin gave me!"

Jimin pulls himself up on his feet and smiles so broadly he can barely see. He makes his way to the bedroom door to join the others, exclaiming over little Mr. Jimin, the kitten.
