"And what in the hell do you want me to do about it? The shipments were supposed so be in two days ago, my hands are tied on this. I'm sorry I couldn't be more of a help to you. Yes, I understand that and I'll look into it. Thank you, I will call you back later. Goodbye."
Of course at the start of my already terrible morning I have to deal with the idiots of the world. Some people just don't comprehend the idea that progress isn't made by hope, but by work. As for my terrible morning, lets just say that I closely resemble a raccoon today. I really need to start getting more paperwork done while at work, instead of my usual routine of procrastination.

A knock at my office door pulls me from my self pity party. I glance through the glass to see Niall standing at my door. Apparently he thinks it's funny to just keep knocking until someone answers the door.
I no sooner had the door handle turned that Niall barges his way into my office and is sitting his ass in my chair. I can't help but laugh at this kid though, he seems to be able to bring a smile to my face no matter my mood.
"Damn Lou, why ya look so stressed?" Ni gave me a knowing look to show he knew exactly why, but I decided to play along.
"Oh you know, just the usual loud ass banging on my door and a random blonde headed bloke stealing my chair." I shot back. I only got an eye roll in return, and then he started looking at my with his head cocked to the side and a smirk playing on his lips.
"Or is it that new girl that's got you all flustered?" He asked as he wiggled his eyebrows at me.
"Shut it you, and get the hell outta my chair. I have the ability fire you. And that 'new girl' has a name," I replied with a scoff. But to be honest, that's probably why I've been a little more stressed the past few days, and probably why I haven't been getting shit done. And to add to all that, Harry has been getting more obnoxious regarding Johanna. Of course she's too nice to tell him to stop, but I can tell she's uncomfortable with him. It's just adding to the lists of why I hate Harry.
Next thing I know a paper ball is hitting me in to cheek and I turn around to Niall crumpling up another one.
"Hey mate, are you even listening to me? I asked you why you don't just grow a pair and tell her."
"Ni, I'm her boss. It's unprofessional," I say with a defeated sigh.
"Come on now man. You're my boss too, right? And here I am sitting in your chair playing therapist and throwing paper balls at your face," and just as he finishes his sentence another paper ball gets launched at me but thanks to my great reflexes I dodge it just in time.
"I don't know, I'll think about it. Now get out of my office you-" but another knock at my door interrupted my insult. I called out a quick 'Come on in' to whoever was outside the door. Slowly, the door opens to reveal none other than Johanna.
"Speak of the devil and she walks in the door! Well, I've gotta run, later Lou!" And with a quick wink he dashes out the door and slams it behind him. Judging by the confused look on Jo's face, I should explain.
"Hi, Johanna.. We were just talking about how well you have been doing so far," a nervous laugh escapes my lips and I shuffle my feet.
"Okay, Mr. Tomlinson." She says looking to her right and furrowing her brows slightly at the paper balls on the ground.
I let out a small chuckle, "Oh please, I'm only twenty three, call me Louis. And blame Niall," I say while gesturing towards the ground. "Now what can I do for you?"
"I'm sorry to ask but do you mind i-if we move our lunch to Tuesday? I f-forgot i had to visit my m-mother after work."
"Ahh no worries, Tuesday works for me. Perfect. After work?"
"Yes, t-that's great. Thank you, Louis," a small smile forms when my name rolls off her tongue and my body freezes. I am immobilized by the way her voice sounds when my name is being spoken. All that plus the way her hair is framing her face and the way those hazel eyes are glowing in the light; I was mesmerized. But a small clearing of her voice brought me out of the daze I was in and I realized I had been staring at her for God knows how long. I mumbled a small 'sorry' and turned towards my desk. I can feel the heat rise to my cheeks as I exhale a long breath.
"Great, go ahead and get back to work then. I'll see you later," I keep my back turned towards her while I speak, I don't need her suspecting anything just yet. I'll save that for our lunch.
"Okay. I'll see you later," and a few seconds later I hear the faint clicking of the door being shut. I slump down in my chair and rest my head on my desk. I really need to watch how I act around her, but it's just so difficult. It's like she holds this power over me and I can't function properly. My mind goes into a haze and I can't think. All it can think of is her.
I need to distract myself, and as much as I don't want to, I need to actually do my job and get shit done. I stare down at the newspaper articles I need to review. I take in a long breath and breathe out and get to work.
