Nara's head throbbed as he slowly regained consciousness, his vision swimming in and out of focus. He tried to move, but his wrists were bound tightly behind his back, and his ankles were restrained as well. The rough texture of the rope bit into his skin, and the faint metallic scent of blood tickled his nose. He was in a dark, cold room with damp stone walls. The air was heavy, suffocating, and every breath he took felt like inhaling waterlogged cotton. His heart raced as fragmented memories of the ringing sound flashed through his mind. It had been unbearable, like an invisible drill boring into his skull. The pain was overwhelming, and then... blackness. Now, he was here, wherever here was.
The sound of footsteps echoed in the distance, drawing closer. Nara strained against his bindings, panic setting in. A door creaked open, and a figure stepped into the room, silhouetted against the faint light from the hallway.
"So, you're awake," a low, smooth voice said. The figure stepped forward, revealing a man in his mid-thirties with slicked-back hair and piercing eyes. He wore a tailored suit, but his presence exuded menace.
"Who... who are you?" Nara managed to croak, his throat dry and voice shaky.
The man smirked, crouching down to meet Nara's gaze. "Names aren't important right now. What is important is why you're here. Tell me, Nara, how much do you know about the Stand you awakened two weeks ago?"
Nara blinked in confusion. His Stand? He hadn't even been aware he had one. The accident at the Ferris wheel had been a nightmare, but since then, nothing had seemed out of the ordinary-until now.
"I-I don't know what you're talking about," Nara stammered, his pulse quickening.
The man sighed, as if disappointed. "Typical. They always awaken without realizing their potential. Let me enlighten you, then. Your Stand has a unique ability-one that my employer is very interested in. But if you don't cooperate..." He trailed off, pulling a knife from his coat and idly twirling it between his fingers.
Nara flinched, his mind racing. Did he really have a Stand? What could it do? Why did this man want it? He didn't have time to figure it out before the man leaned closer.
"Let me make this simple," the man continued. "Either you help us willingly, or we extract the information... painfully. And trust me, we've gotten very good at that."
Before Nara could respond, the ringing sound from before suddenly returned, faint at first but quickly intensifying. He clenched his teeth, struggling against the rising tide of pain. The man frowned, clearly unaffected.
"Interesting," he murmured, studying Nara like a specimen under a microscope. "It's happening again. Perhaps this time, you'll manifest it fully."
The room began to warp and twist around Nara, the ringing now deafening. His vision blurred, and his mind was flooded with strange, disjointed images-a spinning wheel, shattered glass, and a faint golden light. Then, as the pain reached its peak, he felt something stir deep within him.
A shape began to form in front of him-a translucent figure with sharp edges and a metallic sheen. Its presence was both comforting and alien, and Nara instinctively knew it was his Stand.
The man's eyes widened in surprise. "Ah, there it is. Beautiful... but untamed."
Nara, still reeling from the sudden manifestation, felt a surge of resolve. Whatever this Stand was, it was his. And if he was going to survive, he needed to fight back.
(guys ik nara obviously has a stand already butttttt i was running outta ideas aight !) -kimmyyytimmyyy~
