It had been a few months since Tara had died before beast boy actually worked up the courage to go to her room again. The other titans left him in charge of cleaning in up since they were all busy with their own lives and like usual, never expected beast boy to have anything to do. He stood outside the door and sighed, not sure if he was ready yet. He stared at the door for a while before finally getting the nerve to walk in. He went inside and looked around the room for the first time in months. A small picture frame below her bed caught his attention. He picked it up and looked at it. It was a picture of them. One she didn't even care enough to put out. One she hid away just like she did with the rest of her secrets. He sat on the bed where they used to have movie night together and looked at it. He ran his finger over her softly before squeezing his eyes closed tightly, trying not to cry. It was Tara. The one who had been lying to them since the day the first met, the villain who pretended to be his friend to get his secrets then kill him with it, the girl that had sex with their arch enemy behind his back, and the girl he fell head over heels in love with. It was Tara, the proof that everyone he loved always died.
He watched as tears fell on it before throwing it at the wall and watching it shatter. He held his head trying to calm down but his heart kept feeling like it was beating out of his chest. She wasn't gone, because she never even existed. Everything he knew about her was made up, yet he still couldn't help feeling like he could've done something more to help her.
He got up and walked over to her picture picking it up again and accidentally cutting himself on the broken glass. After everything, after all she did to him the only thing he could stammer was a simple "Im sorry." Before sitting on the floor and hugging it tightly. "I'm so so sorry Tara." He said before putting it down and walking out of the room.
