"Not a chance." He whispered to me. It wasn't too long after that I heard Elijah yell in pain. Then some tumbles down the stair, next thing I know Damon disappears. Rose and I come from our hiding spots and see Elijah pinned to the door with a stake in his chest. When Rose saw Elijah dead she ran off. Damon was about to go after her but Elena told him not too. When Elena came rushing down the stairs Damon must have thought she was coming to him. Judging by the smile on his face. But instead she ran into Stefan's. I could see the hurt in Damon's eyes. Why would he be hurt? He's my mate.
"As much as this is... cute and all. But I'd like to go home." I said. They all looked at me.
"Are you okay Katalina?" Stefan asked me.
"I'm fine Stefan. Thank you for asking, Alice is going to kill me... I ruined my dress." I said.
"Let's get you two out of here." Stefan said. I took one last look at my dead mate before leaving the house for good. Damon tried to hold me but I pulled away from him. They dropped Elena off first then me.
"Katalina." I heard Damon say. I turned around to look at him.
"I'm sorry." He said. I rolled my eyes and walked into the house. As soon as I walked in Esme let out a sign of relief.
"He's not dead." Alice said. I quickly looked at her.
"What?" I asked.
"Your mate... he's not dead." Alice said once more.
"That's impossible. I saw him with a stake in his chest. Elijah is dead Alice." I said as I begin to walk up the stairs.
"Did you just say Elijah?" Carlisle said.
"Yeah... why?" I asked as I stop midway up the stairs.
"I know him... Katalina. Trust Alice, Elijah's not dead." Carlisle said. I signed and walked to my room. I showered and changed. I grabbed a decent size bag and packed it with some clothes I don't wear anymore that I think Katherine would like, an extra hairbrush of mine. I also grabbed some wipes so that she could clean the dirt off of her. I then I headed to the fridge where Carlisle keeps blood bags for me when I don't want to feed off humans and I take a few.
"Where are you off too?" Emmett asked.
"They trapped Katherine in a tomb underneath a old church. I'm going to give this too her. Esme do we have extra candles anywhere?" I asked.
"I think so." She said as she leaves to go in search for them. She then comes back with a bag full of candles and a few boxes of matches. She also came back with a blankets and a few pillows.
"Carlisle and I will find out where this tomb is. Why don't you get some rest." She said. I was hesitant at first but she was right.
~The next day~
When I woke up I knew it was our first day of school but I was going to skip it. I wanted to find Katherine. I got dressed and headed downstairs.
