True life story.
That's all I heard before my mom looked at my dad and nodded at each other, sighing.

"Well you were born in a small hospital in central Manchester on an August 3rd and you turned out to be extremely healthy for a one month premature baby" My dad started. I only nodded, already knowing this part of my life like the back of my hand.

"The only thing that was odd here was your mom at the time. She was an incredibly nice lady and she already had two children. Somehow the stress of taking care of you seemed like too much and she decided to make us your legal parents" My mom sighed after my dad finished and I let it all sink in. My parents were a lie and my life was basically a lie from the start.

"Why tell me now?" I asked calmly seeing that if I lost my mind right now everything would be worse.

"We never thought we would talk about it again so we always pushed it away and raised you to our own" My mom looked down, disappointed at herself probably. I sighed. But she wasn't finished yet. "We also put it away in the fear of you pushing us away and hating us. We could never afford to lose you" My heart warmed. Both my mom and dad never wanted to hurt me. They want the best for me. I could have never asked for better parents, even if we're not blood related.

"I could never hate you guys" I replied silently. "Even after all this you're still the ones who stood by me when no one else was. You raised me to be the best version of myself so how could I ever find a way to hate you two? I love you if anything" I heartfully laughed and hugged them both as they laughed with me.

"We love you too"
