"Chapter Twenty Three"

After my nap, I figure to check the moon base. I know what you're thinking — "why are you up here? Shouldn't you be taking a break?" Well... you can say I kinda am. Half of it is to make sure Rito and Scorpina show up with henchmen. The other half is to conquer my fear.

I always had bad memories here. The only happy one I have here is when I made Vi. I walked to the balcony where the telescope is. The memories of being evil was also hitting me. I still feel amnesic about it somehow...

I walked away as I would trip over something and falling to the ground. Huh?? I looked around and then to the ground. To see a wand. It doesn't look like Rita or Zedd's...

...Right. I forgot they were attempting to make a wand for me when I was evil. I picked it up. It gave me this extreme cold, numbing feeling. As if the bad memories were trying to take over. I flinched. I could destroy this but...

I would instead teleport back to the command center. Alpha had been quiet since Zordon had been still gone.

"What do you have?" Alpha asked as he noticed the wand.

I still felt cold, I can feel the dark powers draining my life force.

"Alpha, if you can, please keep this somewhere safe." I said as he quickly took it.

I stared at the empty tube. I still thought about Vi saying his life force is very faint but I'd have to use half of my life force to revive him. I want to but is it worth the risk? I know he wouldn't be happy to see me after the stupid mistake I made. I still regret it. I know a million apologies won't do anything.

"I miss him too." Alpha said as he put his hand on my shoulder, "it's been so quiet..."

I stared at the morpher I also finally got back. I know I haven't been silver ranger in ages and I do miss it. While staring... a realization hit me.

The tears of Rita and Zedd that brought me back to life... I thought.

But would it work? I don't know. But I know I don't want either of the two back here. My phone rings and I would open to answer.

"Hey, beautiful." Jason's voice said.

"Hey, handsome." I said softly.

"You busy this week? Since I wanted to see if you want to go out on a date. Since we haven't been on one in a while."

I warmly smiled.

"Sure, I would love to. What you got in mind?"

"The carnival is in town, I know you never been to one before."

He's right. I never been to one. And now I can and finally experience being a teenager.

"Sure, how about tomorrow? Since I definitely want a day in bed."

Jason laughed.

"Oh definitely. I'm not saying right now." He said.

I giggled softly. Before teleporting back to home. I know Kim is with Tommy. Dad's been home a lot and helping me recover. Soon I made to my room, I locked my door.

"You still there, Jason?"

"Yeah, I assume you were at the command center?"

"Yeah. I kind of miss being a ranger. And since with Zordon not here — I feel bad for Alpha."

"Same here. They known each other for years."

I still feel guilty for what I did. But I am starting to develop and grow.

"Anyways, red ranger. How's the whole hiatus treating you so far?"

"Great. Finally can spend more time training, teaching classes, spending time with my parents." He paused, "who's been eager to meet you but they know I don't want them to meet you yet."

Makes sense. With the whole saving the world thing, getting kidnapped, turned evil... definitely had a lot on my hands.

"I don't mind soon, especially we have this grace period."

"Yeah. Maybe after the date?"

"Sure."

"Great."

"Before I do get more sleep, I do want to ask... do they know about the whole "my parents being bad parents?"

"Uh-huh. Heck, they even would go to bring food and comfort your dad during the time you were kidnapped... including Trini's parents."

Awh... that's so kind of them.

"So you don't have to worry. They absolutely do not want to meet them."

I yawned.

"That's all I wanted to ask... since I know the traditions was to meet each other parents and all that."

"We don't have to follow them this time around."

"Right..." I said as I yawned.

"Get some rest, beautiful."

I smiled as I let out a content sigh,

"I know, handsome. I want to enjoy this hiatus while it lasts."

"Same here. Night, I love you." He said as I couldn't help to blush.

"Night, love you too." I said as I hung up and got myself comfortable and falling asleep.
