"Amber Smith! Don't make me come into your room!"
My mom yelled from downstairs.
"Ugh. I'm coming mom! if you're really excited about me going to school, why don't you go there yourself!"
Don't get me wrong I love my mom. I'm just not a morning person.
"Are you talking back at me again young lady!?" my mom shouted back. Oh no, she's on the hallway now ready to barge into my room. Before it happens I hurriedly got up and open my door with a sweet smile.
"Hey mom! Good morning! I'll get ready okay? No need to start a world war here, I love you!"
I kissed her cheek, running past her to go straight to the bathroom. I know she cannot argue with my sweet talks."I love you too! I already prepared your lunch box downstairs," my mom shouted outside the bathroom door.
"Yeah mom! Thanks!"
After a quick shower. I went downstairs to get my lunch box. I saw my mom getting her keys from her bag. God, I thought she's out already.
"You young lady, should be responsible enough not to get late. When I was your age, I-"
Just before she finish the whole chapter of Meredith's Teenage Life Rule, I cut her off.
"Mom, I still have 15 minutes before the first period. If you continue giving me your wonderful life advises I'll definitely be late," I counter back with an angelic-daughter's smile.
"Next time I'll set my alarm clock an hour before time so I won't be late okay?" giving her a quick kiss again.
"You said that yesterday, the other day and last week. Your lucky your sweet and I love you. I'll let you go for now, drive safe." Meredith, I mean my mom, gave me a quick kiss on my forehead before leaving.
"Alright! I'll text you when I got to school. Be safe too!"

"Amber!"
I saw Mandy my best friend at the end of the hallway running for her life. Yeah, she's also late.
"Mandy! Come on! We still have 2 minutes before Mr. Ferrin asked ask to sing in front of the class again," "I already exhausted all my favorite songs so please hurry up!"
We finally got to the room. Gawd! of course a minute late.
"Well, well, well! Just in time ladies! We do need an ice breaker!" Mr. Ferrin greeted us, pointing his finger on the wall clock above his head.
"Just a minute late. Still late. But you two girls are indeed trying not be late. Yesterday it was 8 minutes, then now a minute huh!?"
"Mr. Ferrin, please. Can we just talk about this after class." Mandy demanded.
"Na uh, class you want this right!?" Asking for the class approval and of course because of these beautiful and kind people. We need to do it again. For the 4th time this week.
I sighed in defeat and just asked Mandy to get this over with.
"Alright you asked for this again guys. Thanks for the love!" I said in front of the class. The entire class gave us a wild cheer.
We ended up singing Pumped Up Kicks with clapping beat that made the class join in.
"Thank you ladies for entertaining the class for me. Be ready for your next song tomorrow!" the class giggled and laughed at us again.
"We won't be late Sir!" Mandy counter back.
"Mandy, just please. How about Hey Soul Sister for tomorrow. I'll bring my guitar." I joked.
"You know what? we can do this everyday so everyone would be happy." I added, giving Mandy a wink.
"Hell no! If your pride level was not that low enough with us singing almost everyday in front of the class,
Mine is already six feet ground under!"
I laughed at Mandy and she giggled back, punching me on my arm."Gawd! Your such b.."
"Girls.." Mr. Ferrin called our attention.
"Bean. A bean. Sorry Mr. Ferrin. Mandy is a Bean." I don't want to be on detention for cursing words.
I heard a soft giggle at the back. I turn around to see the most beautiful girl I've ever met. Samantha Jones. The head cheerleader of Boston High.
