Zayns POV

***********

I looked over at the blue eyed stranger in shock. I hardly knew this man yet I was sitting in his car with him offering me a place to stay. Could I trust him? He could be a serial killer for all I know. But there's nowhere else for me to go and he seemed nice so I answered his expectant look with a slight nod.

"Thank you" I whispered. He's face lit up at my answer and he grinned. "Don't mention it. I couldn't leave a young lad like you on the streets in this weather" I didn't reply instead I gave him a grateful look and faced the window, resting my head on my hand. I heard Louis sigh slightly and pull the car into drive, turning onto the road for the drive ahead. What if I'd didn't tell them? Maybe I be sitting around the table, laughing at my families stories. Or snuggled up with my sisters on the couch while watching Disney movies with my parents looking on from the love seat. What I do know is that I would still have a warm home with a welcoming family but now because of my stupid actions I have neither.

I was pulled out of my dark thoughts by a soft tap on the shoulder. I looked over to see Louis looking back at me with sadness and concern embedded within. I realised I had been crying and quickly looked away, wiping at the tears furiously.

"We're here" I heard his soft angelic voice whisper. I peered out the rain splattered windscreen at the house of the driveway we had just pulled into. It was hard to see the features of the house through the down pour but I could just make out the grey of the house walls and the big wooden door at the front.

I heard Louis seatbelt unbuckle as he turned off the car and got out. I took that as my queue to do the same and follow suit. I grabbed my bag slinging over my shoulder and opened the door, instantly shivered as the wind whipped the frigid rain across my face. I squinted my eyes and quickly stood up, shutting the car door and followed the stranger up the front steps to the door. As he fumbled around with his keys quietly cursing to himself I took the chance to look around. We were standing on a veranda that barely sheltered us from the frigid autumn rain, next to us was a small hanging chair that was currently softly banging on the wall in the harsh wind. There was a path leading back to the driveway where Louis car is currently parked and a large willow tree in the middle of the yard. Before I had time to observe any further I heard the click of a key in a lock and turned around to see the blue eyed boy standing with his hands tucked in his sleeves. holding the door open and gesturing for me to come inside with a warm smile plastered on his face. I returned a small smile and walked into the house with my own hands wrapped securely in the thin confinements of my sleeves. As soon as I was in the house I was welcomed with a rush of warm air. Sighing happily I removed my hands from my sleeves and turned slightly to look at Louis expectantly. He chuckled slightly at my actions causing warmth to rush to my frozen cheeks.

"Just put your shoes here and take off your sweater, you don't want to get sick. I'll get you some dry clothes" he gestured pile of shoes situated next to the door. I noticed most of the shoes in the pile were Vans and smiled slightly as he slipped of yet another pair of Vans and hung his damp coat on a rack near the pile of shoes. I did the same and peeled off my now soaked sweater which was starting to slowly freeze my entire body. I then walk into the room I saw my saviour -I might as well call him that since he did basically save me from dying from hypothermia- disappear into.

As I walked through the door and was met by a cosy looking lounge room. There's a grey couch in the middle of the room facing a fireplace with a Plasma TV mounted on the wall above. In front of the couch is a black, glossy coffee table with a newspaper and a couple of empty mugs atop. I walk over to the fire place and absentmindedly run my fingers along the top. I stop when I come across a bunch of photo frames. I carefully examine each one. The first one is of him and four younger girls. I'm guessing they are his sisters from how they have the same sparkling blue eyes as said boy. He's holding two young girls on his hips with two slightly older ones on his sides with their arms wrapped around his waist and they've all got giant grins on their faces. The second one is of Louis in what seems to be a graduation gown with an older lady by his side with tears in her eyes, most presumedly his mum which suddenly makes my heart clench, knowing I'll never get a picture like this taken on my graduation day. I slowly put it down and pick up the last frame and my heart sink more. He's straight. And he has a girlfriend. It's not like I thought I had a chance anyway. I'm just a homeless pitiful young boy to him, he'd never like me even if he was into boys. I look down at the picture again. He had his arms wrapped around a pretty brown haired girl and was kissing her cheek with she was looking at the camera and they both had loving smiles on their faces.

"Hey! I was wondering where you'd gone off too!" I quickly discarded the frame, putting it back down and spinning around to face Louis who was holding out a pile of neatly folded clothes towards me. I looked down at my feet, shuffling them slightly.

"Sorry, I was just looking around" I whispered quietly still staring at the grout not wanting to make eye contact in case I get lost in his eyes. I saw him furrow his eyebrows slightly and reach his arms out to hand me the clothes.

"Hey it's ok. I'm not angry at ya or anything." I looked up and noticed he had changed into a pair of grey sweats and a green hoodie, I looked down further and saw he's feet were clad in Moose head slippers and couldn't help but chuckle slightly.

"Hey! Don't laugh at my slippers, they are lovely and warm and my mum bought me them for Christmas!" I looked back up again to see him sticking his bottom lip out into a pout and couldn't help but think how cute he looked. I finally made eye contact and fake gasped.

"I would never do such a thing! I think they're adorable!" I said in a unnecessarily high pitched voice. He burst out laughing and bent over to clutch his knees. I quickly took the clothes out of his hands and stood back watching him with a raised eyebrow and a slight smirk on my lips. When he finally straightened up he wiped his eyes and attempted to catch his breath.

"Wow, that was hilarious, you're funny lad" he said laughing, and I couldn't help but think how amazing it was. "Anyways, you'll probably want a shower so just walk down that hallway there and then at the end to your right will be the bathroom, oh and just dump your bag in the room opposite it." I quickly thanked him and set off down the hallway.
