TWO MONTHS LATER

Two months, that's how long it has been since I last saw Taehyung in university. Every day feels incomplete without his usual teasing smirk, his lazy yet sharp gaze that always finds me in a crowd, and his unpredictable ways of pulling me into his world of chaos and thrill. But I get it. His father is going to announce him as the new CEO soon, and he needs to learn how things work in the business. Still, a part of me selfishly wishes he'd at least show up once in a while. Maybe I just miss him more than I thought.

On the other hand, Ivan, my oldie brother, is finally engaged. As much as I love annoying him, I can't deny I'm happy for him. Though, with finals around the corner, I barely have time to process anything properly. University feels suffocating, but when Taehyung called me today and told me he was taking me somewhere, I knew I was going. No matter what.

So here I am, at the underground racing battle. The neon lights cast an eerie glow over the dimly lit streets, and the sound of revving engines vibrates through my bones. The air is thick with the smell of burning tires and gasoline. A scene I never thought I'd find comforting, yet, when I'm with Taehyung, everything feels right.

Of course, I had to sneak out. It's almost a ritual at this point. If Ivan knew, he'd probably lose his mind, but regrets? None. Not when I'm with my man.

Taehyung had said he needed to free his mind, and I needed to roam around the city. So here we are. He is getting ready, pulling on his racing gloves, adjusting the zipper of his leather jacket. His expression is unreadable-focused, calm, and confident.

I walk up to him and wrap my arms around his waist, resting my head against his back.

"I already know my boyfriend is going to win, but still, all the best."

He turns slightly, his arms finding their way around my waist, a lazy smirk playing on his lips.

"Don't you have too much belief in your boyfriend, Miss Romanov?"

I smile, tiptoeing as I reach up to press a kiss just below the mole near his lips.

"More than myself."

He chuckles before placing a brief yet soft peck on my lips. "Let's go then."

As we step into the racing battleground, the deafening cheers hit my ears like a sharp knife. But instead of excitement, a wave of irritation rises within me.

Why? Because half of these voices belong to girls, and they are screaming my Taehyung's name with way too much enthusiasm. My jaw clenches as I glare at them. I swear, if I could, I would slit their tongues off one by one. But no, Ivy, be cool. Your boyfriend is the star here. Focus on him.
