"Please mom!"
I whine rather foolishly at my mother in the car. My mother makes a sharp turn, passing a stop sign without acknowledging it. I'm assuming that was a "no". We always fight over stupid things like this.
"Everyone has those shoes though!"
I tell her, looking out the window. Okay, so maybe I'm over exaggerating, but my mother doesn't need to know that. She ignores another stop sign, jolting my head to the side and hitting it off the window. Ouch.
"Mom! What are you doing!?"
I ask her, caressing the rising bump under my thin, light blonde curls.
"I want to get home,"
she announces, frustrated.
"You've made me angry enough and I'm over it Madylin Grace Cearin. You are grounded."
Grounded?
"How old do you think I am, five?"
I say sarcastically, rolling my eyes at the snarling look on my mothers face.
"Don't be a smart ass, Mady."
I realize anything else I say or do could result in a life or death situation, but I don't care... I'm pissed.
"I don't think your mom would be very happy with your choice of words, Jennifer."
My mother's hand hardly came in contact with my cheek after taking her eyes of the road to slap me.
It happens so fast;
Our car skids across the rode and I see my mother's head hit the dashboard.
"MOM?!"
There's no answer. I panic as a car approaches ours. Hastily I try to cover myself with my arms as quick as I can.
Crash.
There are shards of glass everywhere, but I dare not to look. I can just feel them, some implanted in my skin, some under my feet. Attempting to process what just happened, I manage to hear a muffled scream through the airbag, aggressively forced onto my face during the accident. I push the airbag away from me to breath, and finally gain the courage to open my eyes - that was a big mistake.
I see blood... lots of it, on my mother. Over and over, I call her name, but there is no answer everytime. She's unconscious... Or worse... Dead.
I'm drowning in my own tears. Maybe this is it. Maybe I should just close my eyes and it could be that simple. I can apologize, everything will be okay... but what about my father? He will be devestated. I hear a scream again from outside the car, and I am curious to find out where it is coming from. Pushing the airbag away from my face, I see that the mysterious yelling is coming from inside the car we crashed into. A feeling of anger comes over me, knowing that the person in the car could have killed my mother. I can barely see the boy in the drivers seat, but it's obvious that he isn't an adult. Again, I push the airbag away. I can clearly see him now. He has light brown, long hair; sea-green eyes, freckles, he is exactly five foot and six inches, he lives on Santino Lane, one house down from me; his name is Chase Finn, and he is my best friend...

HEY GUYS! I've been wanting to write this story I came up with forever. I googled the title of this book I made and nothing came up so from what I know, this storyline is original. Anyways, this chapter is so intense, but I hope you like it. (Oh and eye credit to @fangirlris haha)
