Please take note that this book is based on a TV show that is still on air. Because of this, it is important to note the split between the world of the TV show and the one you are about to read.
Person of Interest season 5 is set to premiere in 2016. This book takes place in August 2015, so anything that occurs in the TV show from seasons 1 through 4 should be accounted for in this book. Anything from season 5 onwards may be, but probably won't.
In other words, the Person of Interest timeline splits after the season 4 finale. The events that occur in season 5 onward are in a different world (that of the actual TV show) and will most likely not occur in this world (that of this book series).
