Rick's POV
There's walkers all around us. "Rick! There's too many! We've gotta go!" Glenn yells from behind me.
"Can we get the leg off?" I ask Hershel.
"I don't know Rick he may bleed out." I tie my shirt around the kids' leg and Hershel grabs his knife. I look ahead.
"Oh God, they're everywhere!" I yell.
"Rick we gotta go! Now!" Glenn yells. I look around and lift the kids' leg off the fence. His screams echo through the night.
Shane's POV.
"A mistake? Lori, what we had was real. I love you, I love Carl like he was my own. Lori please." I can feel my voice breaking.
"Shane. I told you, the baby is Rick's regardless." Lori says, not even looking at me.
"Lori, Rick see he's not meant for this world, he's weak, he can't protect you like I can. Lori please!" I yell.
Lori turns her back on me and walks away.
Mina's POV
"Mina. Drop the gun, c'mon what's wrong with you?" Daryl asks, with his voice failing him.
"What's wrong with me? Are you kidding me? That woman just lost a child and you raise a hand at her!" My hands are shaking around the gun, and tears are welling in my eyes.
"I know. I'm just... Not used to being around women who have been-" He cuts himself off.
"Been what?" I yell.
"Abused." He says, with a quiet voice. I lower my gun, and holster it.
"I'm sorry Daryl. I really am. I just saw that and how she flinched and it just reminded me of him..." I crouch down on the ground and start to thumb with the dirt. "We should look for Rick and the others tomorrow." I stand up and start to walk away, but Daryl has his hand on my waist.
"Stay. Please." He whispers. I nod and walk into his tent.
Daryl's POV
Damn this girl. She points a gun at me and I don't even care. I can't help but watch her. The way she'll fiddle with her lip rings, poke around with the hoop in her nose, run her fingers through her messy brown hair, and the way her eyes reflect the light.
"Daryl?" She asks, snapping me out of my thoughts.
"Mmm?"
"Are you okay? I mean after Sophia. You looked for her so much, and now you're just so withdrawn from everyone." Again with the chewing of her lip ring.
"I'm fine Mina. I'm just not used to groups." I sigh, hating myself for opening up to this girl that I barely know.
"Neither am I, you're the first person I've been close to since, well Devan. Trevor came down with me, but he was more excited about gambling rather than hanging out. Devan had this girlfriend, Erin. I lost him about a week before I found you guys. Devan and Erin bickered a lot, so sometimes Devan would come into my tent and we'd just talk. Eventually I think he got feelings for me, so I tried to distance myself, but he was my best friend, see I never really had real friends to be there for me. But that didn't matter."
She takes a big drink of water, and lights up a cigarette. "I could go online, anytime, and he would message me back when I needed someone there. So trying to act like I didn't care for him was hard. Eventually the walkers came. Devan and I were together. I... Kissed him. After he gave me his crossbow. I don't know why I did, but I did. He was bit. And now he's probably dead." She passes me the smoke and I drag on it.
