uncle josh is back

Maya's POV
Right now, I'm sitting with my best friend talking about Ranger Rick, and that' s something I hate doing.why does my best friend have to be in love with a cowboy.
"Do you even listen to me?" I heard Riley yell, "no, not really" i said, I love riley but she and Ranger Rick can be pretty too much some times
"Okay, forget that..you 21st birthday is coming!" she said sounding more excited than I was, I mean I don't really like celebrating my birthday, but somehow I always end up doing it for Riley
"Yeah, so what about it?" I asked
"Well, i have a suprise for you" she said with a smirk all over her face. I know Riley and this is something big, that's for sure..

Maya's birthday

I' m waiting for Riley' s suprise at the party she threw for me, but I've been waiting for like an hour and I' m kinda getting bored, I mean the party was nice, Riley threw it at her place and there was a lot of pink stuff around like balons or those birthday caps,... well, that' s just Riley
Tough, there were a lot of people that I knew and didn' t know but it doesn' t mettet, I can' t wait to see Riley's suprise.
About ten minutes later I hear Riley' s voice from the hall so i went to her just to see what's going on. As I stand behind the door I see Riley' s long brown hair and her red dress that comes above her knees, next to her is Lucas and joining them is a handsome, brown haired guy and he' s wearing a cap on.
Wait... Brown hair? Handsome? Cap?This must be...." uncle Josh!"
I finally hear Riley almost screaming and running over to hug her really good looking uncle. I think I'm frozen at the moment. The guy I liked so much as a 14 year old girl is now standing there again
Josh and I were friends before, but it's been a long time, it's been almost 3 years since we saw eachother
Now, Riley, Lucas and Josh were making their way over to the door but all i could do is just stand there doing nothing
"Maya?" Riley called me, and i woke up from my thoughts
"Maya?" She called again
"Josh?"I finally said, my voice broken,"Maya" his eyes looking straight at my, his voice broken as well, "It's been a while" he countinued,"Sure has" wow that sounds familiar, "well, you' re still gorgeous" he smiled, but i didn't smile back because it hurts too much. Finally Riley saved me by saying something" we' ll let you guys have some privacy" okay nope she did not save me
I tried to say something but they already left
We were just standing there in uncomfortable silence, just looking at eachother,thinking about what to say
"I'm sorry"Josh finally broke the silence "for what" I looked at him his gaze avoiding mine"for leaving or for not even calling for 3 years" I countinued, he runs his fingers through his brown hair still avoiding to look me in the eyes"for everything"he finally muttered" I was a jerk I know it..just..just please forgive me" then I was broken, tears were falling down my cheeks I was hurt and he could see it, he could see my pain and he could see that no metter what he does I will always find a place in my heart to forgive him,but right now I couldn't even say something, I just came closer to him wrapping my arms around his waistline squeezing him, I burry my face in his neck and he wraps his arms around my shoulders, burrying his face into my hair.
That was the moment I realized how much I actually missed him.I missed everything about him..his voice that made my knees go weak, his eyes that I just got lost in, I missed his hugs..his lips..yeah we've kissed before but we never got courage to actually be together so it all ended up like this. After a few minutes we pulled apart, still so close to eachother, his gaze not leaving mine, and i'm getting lost in his perfect blue eyes all over again
He uses his fingers to put a ran away hair wisp behind my ear while saying" let's go somewhere and talk" I smiled up at him

We sat on the building's roof, talking about everything, about our lifes, about the relationships we had"I had one serious relationship" Josh explained"it lasted about a year and a half"
"Really, who broke it up?" I asked curious" I did..I just didn't think she was the one"
"And who is the one for you?" I smiled, remembering my 17th birthday party when I got drunk and asked him to marry me, I liked to think that Josh and I will end up together, I wasn't the only one who liked the thought of that
Auggie told me that Cory, Topanga, Shawn and my mum made a bet on when will josh and i get together but I think I will win a bet because I say never, it's just not meant to be and I had to deal with it even if I feel even stronger feelings for him now
"Maybe she's even closer than I think" Josh said, taking my hand into his, bringing his lips to mine..the kiss was powerful and full of passion
My free hand came to his neck while his free hand was softly rubbing my back
I could only dream of this moment happening again and right now that it is happening i wish it never ends
I wanted Josh so much, but there was another thing in my mind
Once we pulled apart I felt a tear rolling down my cheek"what's wrong?"Josh asked worried, still holding my hand.I had to tell him.."I don't know..josh.."I began, my voice now broken" I'm scared..I mean what if you leave again..i don't want to be hurt anymore.." I explained
"I promise, I will never leave you again" he hugged me,"Never" he assured me.i was about to say something but..."Time for cake, guys" Riley yelled, josh and i quickly pulled away from eachother"Thank you, Riley!" I walk towards her faking a smile"Thanks a lot" I repeat one more time before I go back into the building

Later, I was busy with Riley and Ranger Rick so I never got a chance to see Josh again, my gaze flew around the room, trying to find him, but there was no sight of Joshua Matthews around here
Maybe some other time...

I'm sorry if it wasn't so good but I will improve it, I promise, this is my first ever Joshaya one shot.
