The Pact

Jade Thirlwall

On a cloudy Monday morning Jade Thirlwall was on her way to her English 1010 freshman class in college. Jade is a girl that loves drawing, writing, listening to music, watching Game of Thrones, having tea, and some biscuits. Jade is a shy girl she doesn't let many people in. She always conceals herself within the crowds in order for her not to bring unwanted attention to herself. Until last night Jade has found out that she has the power to levitate objects and herself. Never in a million years Jade would of thought that she would obtain some kind of supernatural powers. Jade felt that if she told anyone this secret that it would bring attention towards herself.

*Flashback Of Last Night*

Jade was in her room watching Game of Thrones on her laptop and eating some biscuits until her mom called her.

"Jade! Can you go get the black box in the garage for me please." Said Norma
"Yes Mama, I'll go get it." Said Jade Jade got up from her bed and closed her laptop. She ate the last biscuit she had in her hand; she started to put on her shoes and sweater. Jade left her bedroom and headed downstairs.
She went through the side door from the kitchen to go outside to the garage. It was a very chilly night that day when Jade went outside.

Jade opened the garage door with all her strength because the garage door is too heavy for Jade to lift up on her own. Jade is small for her age, but she sure is a smart cookie. Once Jade opens the garage door completely she goes in and turns on her flashlight from her phone for her able to see in the dark garage. "Where is it? Where is it? Hmm..." Jade is moving boxes to the side to see if she can find it, nope no sign of that black box. Jade is tired of looking, she rather be watching Game of Thrones. Jade puts her phone down for a second on the floor and stretches her back and arms. 

  When Jade is done stretching she stands probably and looks up, that's when she sees the black box her mom told her to get. "FOUND IT!" Jade yelled to herself. "Aw darn it, why did it have to be so damn high! Now how am I going to reach!" Jade tippy toed to the top shelf of the garage and stretched her hand to try to reach the box. Jade was holding the box with both of her hands now, but she was confused as how did she reached the box. If the box was to hard for her to reach! Jade looked down and saw that she was levitating. Jade freaked out and dropped the box on the floor.

   Everything that was in the box spilled out of it when it hit the ground. Jade was still levitating in midair. "Oh my god! What is going on?!?! Help! Help!" Jade yelled out for someone to get her. "Mum! HELP!" Jade was crying now. Until a black figure appeared in front of her. "No one is going to hear you nor help you baby girl." Said the black figure. "Who...are...you?" Said Jade crying. "What do you want from me?" "You don't want to know, trust me. I'm here for your soul baby girl." Said the black figure that had a grin on it's face.

   The black figure turned into a human man, the man before Jade was tall, slim, had a few muscles, dark blonde hair, stubble on his face, and blue eyes. Jade couldn't believe what she just saw.   "Yes, baby girl I just turned into human form." smirked the evil man before her. "How is that even possible?!?!" Said Jade. "It's a power I was given, by my master when I joined him and his army." the human man was grinning at Jade. "What is your name?" Jade said scared. "You can call me Luke." Said Luke smirking. "Can you stop doing that!" Said Jade with fear in her voice. Luke was now face to face with Jade. "Stop doing what baby girl?" Luke said smirking he started touching Jade's face. Jade flinched under his touched and was scared that he might hurt her. "C-can you stop smirking and grinning at me!" Jade said. "What you don't like it babe?" Luke said. "No I don't like it!" Jade said.

   Luke moved away from Jade and walked to the garage door and closed it. He turned around and looked at Jade with a grin on his face.
"W-what are you doing?" Jade stuttered, you can tell that she was scared now that they were locked in the garage together. "We are going to play a game baby girl." Luke said. "What kind of game are you talking about?" Jade said scared. "Let's just say it's a game that involves you and your mother." Luke said smirking at Jade. "Do you wanna play Jade?" "How do you know my name?" Jade said. "I know everything about you baby girl." Luke said. "Now do you wanna play or not?" "I will play your game." Jade said. "Excellent, but first you have to say these three words in order to begin the game." Luke said. "Alright." Jade said scared. "Repeat after me baby girl, Tiki wanna play!" Luke said. "Tiki wanna play!" Jade said. Luke was grinning at Jade and couldn't believe that she did it.

Jade was no longer levitating and her feet were touching the floor. The lights in the garage were starting to flicker and the ground was shaking, Jade held onto the shelf. Luke pulled her towards him and made her look into his eyes, his eyes turned black and Jade was shaking with fear, but that's how the game began. "Let the game begin." Luke said. Luke let go of Jade and a knife appeared on his hand. Jade's eyes widen when she saw the knife in Luke's hand. Luke grabbed Jade's arm and said "open your hand baby girl now. We need some blood of yours before we officially begin." Jade obeyed Luke's orders and opened her hand. Luke cut open Jade's hand so he can get some blood from her. Three droplets of blood fell to the ground and that's all that Luke needed. Luke let go of Jade's hand that was still bleeding.

Jade pulled her hand towards herself and held onto her bleeding hand and she was crying as well. Luke smiled at her and said "would you do anything to save your precious mother?" "Anything!" Jade said wiping away the tears from her face with her bloody hand. Jade now had her own blood smudged on her face. "I'm glad you said that." Luke said. After that a contract appeared on Luke's hand, he looked up at Jade and said "Put your hand on here!" Luke said to her. Jade did as she was told and put her bloody hand on the contract. "Thank you for your business baby girl." Luke grinned at her and disappear. The lights stopped flickering and the ground stopped shaking everything went back to normal. Jade's body clasp and fell down to the ground within seconds.

Jade woke up on her bed in the middle of the night. Jade was confused as how she got here. Jade looked at her hand to see if it was bleeding still, but there was nothing. No blood and no scar on her hand. Jade thought that she just had a nightmare and that's all until Luke appeared in her bedroom. "Hello baby girl, did you miss me?" Luke said. "How did I get here?" Jade said confused and holding on to her head because her head was pounding. "Your mother brought you back to your room." Luke said. After that he disappeared again and Jade's mother walked in with a mug of tea in her hands and painkiller pills for Jade.
"I'm glad you are okay Jade. I was worried sick!" Said Norma Jade's mum. "I'm fine now, how did I get back here?" Jade said while taking the pills from her mums hand and taking the mug of tea as well and drinking the tea. "I carried you back to your room, I may be old but I can still carry you Jade you are light as a feather." Norma smiled at Jade. Jade was a bit unease with her mums response, but she didn't care now. Jade just wanted to sleep now because she had a test tomorrow for English class. "Okay, mum I'm going to sleep. Goodnight. Oh and thank you for the tea and painkillers." Jade said. "No problem honey and goodnight." Norma said.

* End of Flashback*

"Jade, Jade hurry up we are going to be late to class! Let's go!" Victoria said. Victoria was one of Jade's dearest friends and like the same things as Jade. "Oh I'm sorry Tori." Jade said. "What's wrong with you today? You are never like this! You will have to tell me during lunch break. Now let's go before we get into trouble and miss our exam." Victoria said. Jade and Victoria ran to there English class as quickly as possible. Jade was thinking of how she would tell Victoria her secret. Would Victoria still be her friend? Or see her as a freak?
