Y O U | CHAPTER 14 (Its been so long :( sry! I haven't uploaded an actual chapter in almost seven months :P, these timelines don't add up, ik.)

We crouch down behind a large log and I start to devise a plan, surprisingly I don't jump at every sound, maybe because we're not in immediate danger. My friends are though. I shove the thought to the back of my brain and pluck out an eyelash, staring directly into the nothingness of the ever darkening woods.
I don't comprehend the fact it's getting darker, that's when I realize my nerve system or whatever part of the brain that makes me want to crawl and hide in a hole whenever a twig snaps must be having a shutdown, along with whatever feeds the flow of my anxiety and ever-constant stream of thoughts.
Its much easier to think with my head cleared, but everything also seemed to be going slow, but not regular slow. The slow like walking threw a large, thigh deep pool of honey or wet cement, along with that creeping dread that it would dry.
Jason and Liam are whispering behind me, but since my thoughts are slow and not overlapping, I don't notice this until my train of thought has stopped.
I really don't like this.
Suddenly I hear a long, loud roar, and I'm drawn out of part of my trance. A feel a rush of adrenaline and grab Liam's wrist, "if we can get to mainstreet, as I said before, we can best your parents and my friends to the watering hole. There's scooters we can use."
He nods and I glance back at Jason, who's chewing on his finger nails like crazy and I hiss at him, getting his attention. "Mainstreet. That-a-way, come on!" I whisper hiss, and start to army crawl.
Both Jason and Liam roll their eyes and Liam pulls me up. "Come on germaphobe, we got some dino's to save." Liam pushes me forward, and I nod, breaking into a run.
We soon near the entrance to Mainstreet, and I start to run faster, my pack thwacking against my back as I do so. I'm kicking up dirt as I close up on the entrance before once again stopping abruptly, causing the twins to smack into me.

BEN P.O.V:
"Where's my pack? Please don't tell me you lost it." I look at Kenji and Brooklyn, who look around. Kenji scratches the top of his head and his brows furrow.
"I think Y·N has it. . .oh yeah, I remember, she tackled me to the ground and gave me a black eye to get it." Kenji explains. "Hasn't stopped eating carob bars and using sanitizer since."
