Rain is special in its own right.
It could be a gentle sprinkle that caresses your mind and lulls you
Though, sometimes it's a thunderstorm, a force that takes over your mind, causes you to notice things you never did. It breaks you down further with every strike.
Thunderstorms remind me of life.
Sometimes things build up and it becomes hard to bare, the weight feels as if you are being crushed.
It gets dark.
Silent.
You feel it before it happens.
Then all at once
Everything crashes.
You begin to fall.
The screams coming from inside you are released, bellowing over everyone around you.
Your veins burning with the amber of your fallen flame.
Sometimes it's a gentle release of energy
Sometimes it surges causing mass destruction.
Then all at once it ceases as if it never even existed.
Everything goes on as normally as possible.
Some try and repair or replace the damage caused by the sudden eradication of calm
While some try and act as though nothing ever happened.
We hope to never feel the destruction again, though we all know that it will happen
For that we wait and ponder another downpour.
