The Passage

I was walking alone down a path I found I stopped when I heard running feet just as someone collided into my back. We both fall down she gets up off me instantly then offers to help me up. I see she was crying "I'm so sorry." She says sniffling she's trying to hide the fact she's been crying. "Its fine" I say wondering if I should ask her what's wrong.

"Are you okay?" She stands there then takes off running tears forming into her eyes. "Hey wait a second." I take off after her after a while she collapses and starts screaming. I winced at the loud screams I wanted to comfort her but I don't know her just seen her around school every once in a while. After a while she stops screaming and in a croaked voice she says "He was the only one I had left I have no one. " Realization clouded my mind everyone knew her papi he was a kind village folk. Now he's no more I bow my head in respect that man didn't know any rude just showed his care and love for the village.

I go up to her and offer my hand to help her up. "Do you want to talk about it. I mean you know you don't have to if you don't want to you don't know me but I'm here if you need anybody." She nodded "thanks" she says then let's me help her up from the ground the suns already beginning to set. Today was the last day of school and the day old man smill died.

She starts walking she never said for me to stay or go with her so I just start walking with her in case she does wanna talk.

We walk down the path we came from before I've had enough exploring for one day. We get out of the woody looking dirt path I guess we both found.

"I'm sorry for running into you." She spoke after a while. I shrug it off "it's fine." Is all I say. "And thanks for helping me up from the ground as well. She sniffles again " My papi he uh he's... " her voice trails off filling with sadness. I nod showing her I know and understand the next thing I know she hugs me. I awkwardly hug her patting her back. Then she pulls away "thank you and sorry for hugging you I just I don't know I just needed to hold on." I understood "I'm sorry for your loss." I say

She smiles "I think I'll head on back to..." I know she doesn't want to finish that sentence "home?" I finish for her she nods we say goodbye and part our ways.

I go back to the passageway since there's still light out the is going down but not all the way yet. I go back to the place where that girl fell down I didn't get a good look at it.

when I get there it looks like it's practically glowing I mean literally glowing. Its not the sun doing this either this part is in the shade. Something doesn't feel right here that shiver that went through my spine earlier is back and so is that chill.

I went to turn around when I heard a stick break then footsteps. I turned around and went back to the path I took to get here then I went straight home.
Once there I locked the door and went straight to my room shutting the door. I sit there for a few hours thinking to myself thing about what happened. I was thinking so hard that I didn't even realize the sun went down and it was past 12. I didn't realize how tired I was before I yawned I decided to sleep I get under the covers turn my lamp off and go to bed.

~Katillina's p.o.v~

When I get back to papi's everyone is all gone ambulance and paramedics left. I went inside got in my only matching pair of PJ's. Papi said he always loved these PJ's they suited me so well. I grabbed the stuffed elephant papi gave me and went to papi's room. He said if I ever need to feel safe I could always sleep in here. I wanted to be close to papi one last time before saying goodbye. Tears sprung to my eyes and I cried myself to sleep hugging the elephant close to my chest and sleep on papi's side of the bed.

Sorry this is a short chapter Lol I cried to chapter 2 and this one at the end. And I'm the one who wrote haha I'm weird. Anyway thx for reading my story sorry it's boring but the good parts r coming up soon I promise. Don't forget to vote or comment anything u might have or want to say I don't mind what it is.
