Part Eighteen

Time skip; Lunch with Tanja

Tate and I arrived at the restaurant and shortly after Tanja walked through the doors confidently. Watching her walk highlighted to me instantly where Tate gets her strut from.

The atmosphere during the meal was surprisingly comfortable. I expected some awkwardness seeing as me and Tanja haven't really spent time together away from the musical environment. It could have been a lot worse.

Tanja- So girls, how is this going?

I had my eyes on Tate, hoping she would lead the response; she didn't. I thought in that moment, the best response would be to speak up confidently and hope that Tate was okay with it and Tanja would appreciate it.

L- I think we're going amazing, I hope Tate agrees. But at this point, I'm very grateful that we planned for me to come out here because I love spending time with Tate. The direction we are moving in is very positive. Tate?

Smiles from Tate. Mission accomplished. Let's hope her response is as positive as mine was.

T- I completely agree, my feelings are only getting stronger and stronger. Leah has been amazing and to second what Leah has already said, I'm so grateful she came to Germany to surprise me. I'm lost for words trying to explain it mum to be honest.

Tanja's face says it all. She was very happy with both responses but I couldn't help but wonder why she was asking this. It seemed as though she had an alternate motive.

The conversation was still reeling, Tate's cheeks were red. She was blushing like there was no tomorrow. In an attempt to relax her, I placed my hand on her thigh under the table- just to remind her that I'll always be there.

Tanja- So, now that's out of the way we can get down to the real reason that I have asked you both here today.

T- What is it mum?

Tanja- I wanted to know a bit more about the dynamic between you both before I brought this up. I have spoken to a few people and Leah, if you are available; there is room for you to continue the tour alongside us until your season starts in the UK. That's if you'd like to stay of course.

I was not expecting that. The gods have really been working in my favour recently since I met Tate. It just creates nerves though because the more time I spend with Tate, the more feelings get caught and I guess I'm scared.

Tanja- I'll let you think it over because I've gotta run and sort somethings out before we fly tomorrow but just let me know by this evening. See you soon.

T- Mum that's amazing news! Let us have a chat about it and I'll message you soon.

L- Thank you Tanja, I appreciate this so much.

Time skip; Back at Georgia's house

Walking back through G's front door and all my eyes go to straight away is G having a nap upside down. It was one of those moments where you look at your best friend and it's just a mixture of "Why am I friends with you?" and "This is why I love you".

Tate and I went straight up to the guest room where we'd been staying the past few days.

T- So what do you think about what my mum said?

L- I'd take time with you over anything T, you know that. If I'm completely honest, I'm just starting to get a bit scared.

T- What's scaring you Le?

L- I really like you. Like every second that passes that I'm in your company I feel like my feelings get stronger. It's usually at this point that I run away but I don't want to do that so for me, telling you was the best output.

T- I appreciate your honesty my love. I'm here to support you. I'm on the same page as you. I'm really starting to fall for you, but just remember there's no pressure. Everything we are doing, is because we want to. Don't feel like you have to come on the next few shows unless you want to.

L- Of course I want to Tate, I'd love to. I just wanted to air out my cautions so that you know.

T- Elephant juice now give me a kiss.

The rest of the evening was spent chilling. I called Jonas and explained the situation and he gave me the green light for the next two weeks. Tate let Tanja know and we were all set.

Speaking to my mum was positive. As usual she was talking to me about bringing Tate for dinner in London soon. She was happy when I told her that I'd be staying with Tate a while longer. That was the main thing. Her approval means everything to me.

Just as the phone ended, Georgia ran into the room and jumped onto us both.

G- How long have you guys been here!?

T- A few hours G, you were asleep

The blush overcomes Georgia's face as if she's embarrassed that we caught her having a nap.

L- So we have some news..

G- Go on

L- I'm continuing with Tate on the tour for 2 more weeks until the season starts.

G- I'm so happy for you both, that's so good. Where is next on the tour list Tate?

T- Poland, Austria, Belgium and the Netherlands. 4 shows in 5 days so it'll be fast paced but then I have a break for 4/5 days before the US leg starts.

L- Maybe you could let me show you London in those 4/5 days???

Tate looked at me grinning as if she just realised that I do want to be seen with her and not hide in the shadows of her shows forever.

T- I'd love to. Maybe we can owe your mum that dinner that she's been begging you to bring me to.

L- That's a plan then, we can surprise her.
