WIND RUSHED against Lotties face as they climbed up on the tower. The metal was cold against her palms, making chills go up her spine.
She pulled herself up, Regan and Marcus already being there seconds before her. She sat against the railing, something that probably would have scared her a couple hundred days ago, but it was the least of her concerns at the moment.
She eyes the argument between the siblings about whether to stay or not. Lottie thought they should stay, because what else were they supposed to do? But she didn't have time to grab their attention before Marcus fell through a loose hatch.
Lottie's eyes almost burst from their sockets as she sped over, peeking her head over the hatch to make sure he was okay.
The brown haired boy was attempting to crawl through the corn to get to his flashlight and Lottie punched her eyes in concern Next to her, Regan was trying to get him to stop moving. Lottie joined in, waving her hands until the swinging door snapped of, falling right behind him.
The heavy metal caused Marcus to sink in some more, making it difficult for him to breathe.
Regan turned to her, "stay." Lottie furrowed her eyebrows momentarily before Regan jumped down.
Lottie gaped at the sight, but calmed slightly when Marcus was safe on the door.
The panic returned when she could no longer spot Regan in the corn. With minimal hesitation, she jumped in.
