Seven

The airport was busy, but not overwhelmingly so. Many people were hugging their friends and relatives, while others rushed to catch their shuttle buses on time. Some were sitting down, waiting to be picked up. Meanwhile, Yoongi and Jin were standing near the railing, waiting for Jungkook. They had woken up very early, and although neither had drunk much, they were still tired from staying up late.

Jin was filled with excitement at the thought of seeing Jungkook, which had prompted him to jump out of bed the moment his alarm went off. Yoongi felt the same anticipation.

"How much longer is he going to take?" Jin asked, glancing at the time on his phone before looking at Yoongi.

"He said he's getting his luggage right now and that he'll be out any minute. Don't worry, Jin," Yoongi replied, patting him on the shoulder.

"Hopefully," Jin responded. Although they had seen Jungkook three months ago in New York, they were still thrilled to see him again. The thought of it becoming an almost daily occurrence made them even happier.

Jungkook grabbed his last piece of luggage, which included two large bags, a carry-on, and the backpack he was already wearing. He sighed in relief, glad that everything was finally done. Excitedly, he began walking toward the exit. As he made his way through the crowd, he looked around to see where Yoongi and Jin were. Spotting them, he noticed they were distracted, and an idea popped into his head.

He quickly hid between two other passengers. Once he was out of their line of sight, he moved behind Yoongi and Jin and wrapped his arms around both of them.

"So, who are we waiting for again?" he asked, startling Jin  while Yoongi looked up and smiled upon seeing him. "Hi, Jin-hyung, Yoongi-hyung! It's been a while. Well... it's only been three months!" He flashed them a big bunny smile.

"You startled me, you brat!" Jin exclaimed as he hugged Jungkook tightly. Jungkook returned the embrace just as fiercely and then turned to hug Yoongi, who smiled and hugged him back.

"I know it's been three months since we last saw you, but we really missed you! We don't see you often, so knowing that we can finally be together almost every day makes us very happy and excited!" Jin said while patting Jungkook's back and helping him with his luggage. Yoongi joined in to help as well.

"Me too! I'm really excited to be with you guys every day! Although, I'm also feeling scared and nervous about the new position," Jungkook admitted as he grabbed his carry-on while they walked out of the terminal.

"How was your flight?" Yoongi asked as they headed to his car. He pressed the button to open the back door and waited for the younger one to respond.

"It was good, but I'm feeling a little sleepy, not going to lie. I only managed to get two hours of sleep because I was anxious about this semi-new life! Plus, there's the stress of my stuff and not knowing when everything else will arrive. Other than that, it was good," he smiled as he placed his carry-on bag inside before closing the back door.

He then went to the back seat and set his backpack on one seat before sitting down himself. He could have sat in the front, but the back felt more comfortable.

"I'm glad! I understand why you're nervous. You have many reasons to be, but I believe everything will turn out okay," Jin said as he got into the passenger seat.

"I believe that too! And remember what we said last time—besides your friends, you'll have us—the other hyungs—too," Yoongi added for extra reassurance, noticing the younger's frown at the mention of the other hyungs.

"I know, but I'm still worried about them. You guys say they wouldn't be mad, but how can you be sure? Even if everyone is very understanding, they have a right to feel upset with me. I just left and hardly contacted them again. I did what I needed to do, but sometimes I can't help wishing I had done things differently," he expressed, feeling guilty as he looked out the window.
