Today is my birthday...

I crossed my teen age...but Is this the day i was actually born? I don't know. I named this date - the 15th of July as my birthday by myself.

You may wonder why? Well that's the day i actually came to know about the meaning of celebration for birthdays.

I have seen people celebrating their birthdays with cakes, chocolates, sweets, gifts and lot more. They had family and friends and more importantly happiness.!!

Do i have any one of them?

The answer is no..Because i am an orphan. I don't have people to call them as family.!! I have to count upon my friends and they do not know about me. And happiness is a big ?.

Ofcourse i am new to you too..but you will know more about me as you go.

To start with, do i have a name? Yes. I do. But i dont know who named me. Since the day i started to talk, i was taught to say my name as Mansi.

Yes I am Mansi.

I woke up early as it was my birthday.

Every year on this day i used to go out in the early morning and spend the whole day alone. But this year i had plans.

I took bath and wore my new dress which i bought yesterday. It was a beautiful salwar with light blue top and a printed white pant with a silky soft dupatta. I couldn't take my eyes out of this dress. And so it was my perfect choice. I felt really happy and excited. Guess why?

I planned to visit the ashram where i was brought up. I still feel grateful to the people who took great care of me. So i decided to meet them and get their blessings.

I got ready and walked up to a nearby bus stop. It was a busy day at Bangalore. I lived alone in a ladies hostel which is a few km distance away from the ashram.

I got into the bus and it took 10 minutes to reach the destination.
There's a famous temple near the ashram which i used to visit everyday. I went in and prayed well.

Looking at a distance i saw the name board, "Viswa Shanti Ashram". I walked slowly towards the entrance. My eyes became wet and happy tears started to roll down. I am sure that i still miss being a little girl playing happily in this ashram.

Remembering the lines,
"Let me be a tree. Come and have shade under me. I will promise you with love and happiness".
